(Tamara's POV)
The next morning I was snuggling up with Lucy when the psychiatrist came in "Tamara you have to come with me now"she told me "no i want to stay with my mummy"I said as I held tightly onto Lucy "you have to come Tamara or I'll have to force you to come"the psychiatrist said as she approached me "I want my mummy to come with me"I told the psychiatrist as I gripped tightly onto Lucy's hand "please let her come with me"I begged "she can't I'm sorry but give it a week and you can see her then"the psychiatrist told me "no I need mummy!"I shouted at her "tam baby it'll be okay I promise it'll be quick okay you've got this"Lucy told me as she pulled me in for a hug "but mummy how am I supposed to go that long without seeing you?"I asked her "umm what if I gave you my jumper so you can still have my scent?"Lucy asked
"Yes please that would work I think so it's like I'm cuddling up to you"I said Lucy pulled off her jumper and sprayed some of her perfume on the jumper before giving it me I said goodbye to Lucy,Angela and Tim then I left with the psychiatrist we arrived at the psych ward and I was taken to a room the nurses were going up and down the corridors I sat on the bed but it wasn't very comfortable I could feel the springs and the blanket was really thin but at-least it was comfy
An hour later it was 5pm and a nurse came in with a tray of food "here we are sweetheart"the nurses said as she placed the tray down in-front of me I picked up the fork and ate the food then the nurse left I lay on my bed and snuggled into Lucy's jumper I fell asleep but awoke a few hours later it was now 8pm I flooded up Lucy's jumper and placed it neatly on the bed then I sat at the desk in the room I drew a photo of Me,
Lucy and Tim I put it on the wall above my bed and lay down I was so bored already.
The next day a nurse came in "you know you listen a-lot so how are you here?"she asked me "it was a mistake I did something but I get to go home in a week and a few days"I told the nurse "okay well I brought you some dinner"the nurse said as she placed the food down I ate it quickly the nurse then left when she came back in the next day I asked "can I ring my parents?"the nurse said she couldn't since it went against their rules I just sat on my bed and fell asleep again I really wanted lucy and Tim to come see me but I knew that wouldn't happen and I hated how it felt being alone a week passed and I was getting agitated being stuck in one room the nurse was nice tho she came in my room and said "you know if your really bored in here I could always bring you to the cafeteria for lunch and tea so you can socialise" I nodded "that sounds amazing it is very boring in here"I told the nurse later that evening I was lead to the cafeteria I sat at the table eating my food when a girl sat next to me she was really skinny and her hair was shrivelled and matted and she seemed really sad and closed off she just stared at her food.
After a few minutes i finished my food and the nurse took me back to my room "nurse?"I asked "yes Tamara" she replied "who's the girl that sat next to me in the cafeteria?"I asked "that's Sarah she's been here nearly a year"the nurse told me "can I go to her room?"I asked the nurse "why?"the nurse asked surprised "maybe I can be her friend"I told the nurse "okay sure come with me"the nurse said I followed her down the corridor and up the stairs into the higher risk section we approached the girls room "Sarah you have a visitor"the nurse said and I stepped inside her room "hi I'm Tamara"I said giving sarah a smile she smiled back and motioned with her hand for me to come in the nurse left us and I sat next to Sarah
"so how comes you came in here"Sarah asked
"you sat next to me yesterday in the cafeteria and you seemed sad I thought you could use a friend"I told her "thanks but there's no point I'm not going to be around here long enough for you to know me"she said as she looked down at her feet "what do you mean?"I asked "I'm going away from here forever soon"she said "like dead?"I asked her she nodded "well I can try get to know you"I told her "how long are you here?"she asked "for another week"I told her "how long have you been here?"she asked "a week"I told her "why are here then?"she asked "because I cut my wrists and throat so I could go to the hospital because I had cancer but my parents were sick so I couldn't see them and I wanted it to go but I had surgery and now my cancer is gone so I get to go back home after I leave here"I said "so how comes your here the nurse told me you'd been here a year?"I asked "I just hurt myself a lot and don't eat at all and i sometimes try well die but it never works"she told me "I'm sorry that must suck"I told the girl sympathetically "it's okay it's been this way since I was 9 so yea" she said "how old are you?"I asked her "11"she told me "what about you"she asked "I'm 11 too"I told her "ooh that's nice"she said "so what are your parents like?"I asked her "they were nice people but they died when I was 7 and now I just do whatever I need to stay here instead of foster care"she told me "I'm sorry for your loss"I said "so what about your parents are they like nice or?"she asked "well my biological parents are abusive and they didn't like me at all but I went to a random persons house and knocked on the door asking for good then she took me in with her husband there amazing I mean at the start her husband hated me but now he likes me I think"I told him "so are you like adopted?"she asked me "well no but I live at there house and they let me call me then mummy and daddy so it's good there"I said "oh I'm sorry about your parents" Sarah said "it's okay at-least I'm away from them now"I said "so where's your room?"she asked "down the stairs and hall,room number 15" I told her
"that's in the lower risk section I can't get in there"she told me "we could always just sneak you down"I told her "good idea"she said as she smiled "you know you have a really pretty smile"I told her "thanks" she said as she laughed a little "so what do you do in here then?"I asked "not much just draw and sleep"she said
"maybe we should take a nap I'm so tired"she said as she moved into the corner of the bed and patted next to her I lay down next to her and fell asleep.
