(Lucy's POV)
I woke up and saw Tamara wasn't in bed anymore I'd assumed she'd just gotten out of bed earlier than me but when she wasn't in the house or outside the house I panicked I rung Angela
-hey lu what's up?
-Tamara's gone she's not here she's missing
-okay I'm on my way over I'll let grey know to start a search party for her
-thank you
I hung up I found a photo of Tim me and tam I cut Tamara out so the search party would have a photo of her we all searched the whole day and she wasn't there even after everyone left I was still searching I hadn't slept I kept looking everywhere I decided I needed to take a nap to at least be strong enough to fight of her kidnappers we kept searching but as the days passed with no sign of Tamara my heart felt like it was being pulled out days turned into weeks and weeks turned into months and eventually it had been a year since she had gone missing I still searched every day but there was never any sign of her.
(Tamara's POV)
I had no idea how long it'd been since i was brought here but I knew it was a long time I was on the mattress when I heard footsteps downstairs I hid under the blanket as the footsteps came closed and closer I hated this feeling I tried to hide more but I heard the door open I felt the blanket be pulled off me and I saw a ton of cops "are you guys going to take me to my mum?"I asked and they nodded explaining they had picked a guy up and I was safe they took me out to the ambulance and made me get checked out the paramedic said I had to go to hospital because I'd need an iv a drip and a feeding tube I nodded we drove to the hospital and I was in a gown lay in the bed the nurse had put in the feeding tube and iv plus a drip I asked if she could call my mum and she said she would then two hours later my room door opened and lucy came in with Angela I quickly jumped out the bed and hugged Lucy tightly "mum I missed you so much"I said "I missed you too baby we found your kidnapper his names Ryan Harris"Lucy told us but I shook my head no "it's not whoever Ryan it was Tim he took me from the house and to that abandoned house he hardly fed me anything he was never there but he said that there was a person guarding the room and if I tried to leave then the guard would shoot me dead"I said snuggling closer to lucy "please don't leave me alone"I told her "I won't I promise"she said sincerely "I love you mum"I said "love you too"she replied I smiled as I let mum go and got in bed I patted next to me and asked lucy to lie with me again I rested my head on her chest and I could hear her heartbeat it was so comforting "thank you mum"I whispered as I fell asleep.
The next few days passed in a blur Tim was arrested ,I was aloud to go home with mum and we went to the station a lot we had a few days before Tim was taken to trial for kidnapping me me and mum was getting ready to go to the station "mum I'm ready!"I said running into the living room "okay let's go"she said as we got in the car and arrived at the station "hi Angela"I said as I entered the office holding mums hand "hey tam how are you doing?"Angela asked "I'm good"I told her mum sat at her desk and I sat on the sofa they did there work then at lunch we ate some pizza and chips from the food truck after they finished there shifts mum and me went home.
Then came the day of Tim's trial we arrived at the courthouse and it felt weird being here again but at-least it wasn't me at the table this time i saw Tim and his lawyer enter they stood at the table "how does the defendant plead?"the judge asked "not guilty"Tim said "mum he is guilty"I whispered "I know the judge just has to decide if he is or not okay"Lucy told me
The lawyers were questioning Tim when the judge asked "can i get the victim to come to the stand?"i nodded and sat at the stand "Tamara did you see Tim take you?"his lawyer asked "yes"i replied "and did anyone see him take you?"his lawyer asked "no nobody saw"i said "and did you ever scream or yell for help?"his lawyer asked "no but i was scared he'd do something if i did"i told him "and isn't it true Tim left you alone most of the time you were with him?"his lawyer asked "yes that's true"i said "so why didn't you run?"his lawyer asked me "because i-i was scared he'd said there was someone outside the room with a gun and if I left the room they'd shoot me"i told him
"okay and did you ever tell Tim to take you back to Lucy?"he asked "yes at-least 15 times he wouldn't listen"i said as I looked up at mum "can I sit back down now?"I asked sad "no i-"his lawyer started but the judge cut him off "yes you can go sit next to your mum"the judge said smiling at me I sat back by mum and held onto her hand and arm tightly the lawyers kept asking Tim questions then the judge asked "has the jury reached the verdict?" "yes your honour"the verdict said "what is your verdict?"the judge asked "not guilty"they said "okay the case is still open but the defendant is not guilty until new evidence is found the defendant is to be released from his cell but if you come within a hundred metres of the victim and her family you will be arrested again am I clear?"the judge said "yes your honour"Tim said "HES GUILTY!"I yelled "victim please stop"the judge ordered but I kept yelling it he was guilty he cant just get away with it "balifs remove the victim from my court now!"the judge said the balifs came over and grabbed my arms and started dragging me out I started to kick my legs "get off me!"i screamed they got me outside the court room and dropped me I sat on the bench crying Lucy came running out of the court room she hugged me and we got in the car we went home and snuggled up on the sofa "why does everyone think Tim's not guilty?"I asked "because we don't have enough evidence but we're going to find more okay"Lucy told me I nodded "I hate him so much"I said burying my head deeper into Lucy's chest "I know baby I hate him too how about we go ask Angela if she's got any more evidence"lucy said.
