The morning light filtered into the laboratory of Nigrum Anima, glinting off the rows of crystals neatly arranged on workbenches. Harry stood at one of the tables, staring at a small group of unusual crystals he'd brought back from his last trip to the Black Tower. Unlike the Core and Ranking Crystals, these were unlike anything they'd encountered before.

"Let's see what you are," Harry murmured, carefully arranging the five unique crystals before him.

Each crystal shimmered faintly with its own distinct energy, radiating an aura that seemed to call out for understanding.

The Crystals

Harry pulled on a pair of enchanted gloves and began his examination, starting with the first crystal.

Shadowsteel Crystal

Description: A metallic, black crystal streaked with silvery veins that pulsed faintly, like a heartbeat.Observation: The surface was cool to the touch, and its energy felt dense, as though it carried a heavy, protective weight.Magical Properties: Harry tested the crystal with a simple strengthening charm. The magic seemed to absorb into the crystal and then radiate outward, amplifying the charm. When applied to a piece of enchanted armor, it created a shadowy aura that shimmered protectively around it.

"This could revolutionize defensive enchantments," Harry said, scribbling notes in his journal. "Perfect for shields, armor, and even barriers."

Venomstone

Description: A greenish-yellow crystal that emitted a faint, toxic mist. The mist wasn't dangerous when inhaled but carried an unsettling, acrid scent.Observation: When Harry applied a basic spell to neutralize poisons, the crystal absorbed it completely, amplifying its effects. He then cast a venom-summoning spell, and the crystal enhanced it, producing a potent toxin that shimmered in a vial.Magical Properties: The crystal granted immunity to toxins and diseases when carried, and it could be used to amplify poison-related spells.

"Not one to keep in your pocket," Harry muttered. "But for healers or potion-makers, this could be invaluable."

Frostveil Shard

Description: A translucent crystal with swirling, icy patterns inside. It seemed to exude a faint chill, frosting the air around it.Observation: When Harry cast a defensive ice spell, the crystal absorbed the magic and created a solid barrier of ice that shimmered like a mirror. It also seemed to dampen the surrounding temperature, making the room noticeably colder.Magical Properties: The shard granted resistance to extreme cold and allowed the user to summon ice barriers or walls for defense.

"This would be incredible against the frost," Harry noted, his breath visible in the chilled air. "We'll need to make sure every team has access to these."

Heartstone

Description: A deep red, heart-shaped crystal that pulsed faintly, as though alive. Its glow was steady and comforting.Observation: When Harry held the crystal, he felt a wave of warmth and vitality surge through him. Casting a healing spell with the crystal increased its effectiveness tenfold, and it seemed to have a calming effect on his emotions.Magical Properties: The crystal restored vitality, enhanced healing spells, and strengthened emotional bonds between people.

"This is more than just a healing tool," Harry murmured. "It could unite teams, bring people closer together—especially in these uncertain times."

Ironroot Crystal

Description: A green, jagged crystal with the texture of bark. It felt solid and rough in his hands, grounding him with its earthy energy.Observation: When Harry tested earth-based spells, the crystal amplified them significantly, allowing him to summon walls of stone and even control small tremors. It also seemed to enhance his physical endurance, making him feel stronger and more resilient.Magical Properties: The crystal boosted earth-based magic and strengthened physical durability.

"Perfect for builders, farmers, or anyone working with the land," Harry said, making another note. "This one could strengthen our agricultural teams, too."

Sharing the Discovery

Later that day, Harry called his core team—Luna, Neville, Draco, Percy, Fred, and George—into the lab.

"These crystals are unlike anything we've seen before," Harry explained, gesturing to the array. "Each one has unique properties that could help us survive—and thrive—in the face of the frost."

The group moved closer, inspecting the crystals with awe.

"Shadowsteel," Draco said, holding up the black crystal. "This could revolutionize defensive magic. Imagine armor that absorbs spells and enhances protection."

Neville picked up the Ironroot Crystal. "This one's perfect for the farmers and builders. If we can integrate it into tools or charms, it'll make their work much easier."

"And the Heartstone," Luna said softly, cradling the red crystal. "It's... warm. Like it's alive."

Fred and George grinned as they examined the Venomstone. "Toxic mist? Amplifying poisons? We could use this in traps against frost creatures."

"And the Frostveil," Neville added. "We'll need plenty of these. Resistance to the cold is crucial."

A Plan for Distribution

Harry outlined his plan to share the crystals across the sanctuaries:

Shadowsteel: Sent to sanctuaries for use in armor and barrier construction.Venomstone: Reserved for healers, potion-makers, and combat teams needing toxin resistance or offensive capabilities.Frostveil Shard: Distributed widely to teams working in cold regions or against frost-based threats.Heartstone: Allocated to healers and community leaders to strengthen bonds and morale.Ironroot Crystal: Sent to agricultural and construction teams to enhance endurance and productivity.

As the team worked to catalog and distribute the new crystals, Harry felt a renewed sense of purpose. The Black Tower's dangers were immense, but it had also provided tools to fight back.

Each crystal was a piece of the puzzle, a key to surviving—and thriving—in the frozen world.

And Harry knew they were just beginning to unlock their full potential.
