Back to the Grind

The day after the auction, Harry found himself in the bustling center of the sanctuary. Life within the dome had returned to its usual rhythm—teams preparing for dungeon expeditions, researchers pouring over samples in the Nigrum Anima, and residents working diligently in the farmlands and workshops.

Harry stood on the steps of Hogwarts, a cup of tea in his hand, surveying the organized chaos. The jade stone he'd won at the Ministry auction rested in his pocket, its smooth surface occasionally brushing against his fingers.

The Ministry's unique challenge had been a good distraction, but now it was time to refocus. The sanctuaries still faced the ever-growing mysteries of the dungeons and their purpose.

A New Expedition

Draco approached Harry from the far end of the courtyard, a clipboard in his hand. "Potter, we've got a team heading out to a new dungeon in southern Scotland. It just popped up on our network reports yesterday. You should see the description—it's unlike anything we've encountered."

Harry raised an eyebrow. "What's different about it?"

Draco handed over the clipboard. "According to the scouts, the entrance is carved into the side of a cliff. They described it as... almost ceremonial. The runes etched into the walls are ancient, even by magical standards. We're sending a mixed team of wizards, Squibs, and Muggles to investigate."

Harry studied the report thoughtfully. "Good. Make sure they're equipped with the usual gear—crystals for mapping, containment wards, and enough supplies for three days. Keep them tethered with the enchanted ropes, and I want regular updates through the communication mirrors."

Draco nodded. "Already in progress. Neville's making sure their potion kits are stocked, and Luna's helping with rune analysis."

Training in Full Swing

As Harry and Draco discussed the expedition, they heard the clanging of swords from the nearby training grounds. Harry glanced over to see several teams sparring—both magical and non-magical fighters working side by side.

"Looks like the new combat classes are paying off," Harry said, watching as a young wizard successfully deflected an enchanted blade with his shield charm.

"About time," Draco said dryly. "Half these people couldn't block a hex to save their lives when they got here. Now they're starting to look like a proper defense force."

Harry smirked. "High praise coming from you."

Draco rolled his eyes but didn't deny it.

Nigrum Anima – A New Discovery

Later that afternoon, Harry stopped by the Nigrum Anima, where Neville and Luna were analyzing a series of glowing shells retrieved from one of the dungeons.

"These are fascinating," Neville said as Harry entered. "The magical properties are subtle, but when exposed to moonlight, they amplify healing spells. I think we could use them to enhance the hospital's wards."

Luna held up one of the shells, turning it in her hands. "They're beautiful, aren't they? Like the ocean itself left behind a little gift."

Harry nodded, impressed. "Good work. Let me know when you've finished testing them—I want to see how they compare to the crystals."

As he left the Nigrum Anima, Harry felt a familiar sense of pride. The sanctuary wasn't just surviving—it was thriving, its people working together to uncover the secrets of the world around them.

A Quiet Moment

That evening, Harry retreated to his office, the jade stone still in his pocket. He set it on his desk, its vibrant green surface catching the light from the enchanted lanterns.

Reaching for his notebook, he began jotting down his thoughts about the dungeons, the dome, and the Ministry's growing involvement in their affairs. There was so much still to understand, and Harry knew they were only scratching the surface.

As the hours passed, Harry leaned back in his chair, gazing out the window at the sanctuary below. The lights of Hogsmeade twinkled in the distance, and the faint hum of the dome's magic filled the air.

For now, the sanctuary was safe. But Harry couldn't shake the feeling that the next challenge was already on the horizon.
