Percy sat at the head of the long table in the makeshift meeting room, his hands folded tightly in front of him. The group of people he once led in another timeline—survivors who had looked to him for guidance—were seated around him, their faces eager and expectant.
The room was dimly lit, the faint hum of the warehouse's generators filling the silence. Justin, the tall man who had brought them here, stood by the door, his arms crossed. Jenny, the auburn-haired woman who had first recognized Percy, sat to his left, her gaze unwavering.
Percy cleared his throat, trying to steady himself. "I still can't believe it's all of you," he said, his voice quiet but filled with emotion. "How much do you remember?"
Justin stepped forward, his voice calm but resolute. "We remember everything."
Jenny nodded. "The bunker. The freeze. The way you kept us alive." Her lips tightened, her voice dropping. "And the way we lost you."
Percy's heart clenched. He swallowed hard, the memory of that moment surging to the forefront of his mind—the falling ice, the protective charm, the pain of his own body giving out as he shielded the group.
He forced himself to focus. "Then you understand how important this is," he said, his voice steadying. "The freeze is coming again. We've been given a second chance, and we can't waste it."
The room fell silent, each person absorbing the weight of Percy's words.
Planning for Survival
Justin pulled out a map of the area and spread it across the table. "We've been preparing since we woke up. Stockpiling supplies, gathering intel. But we don't have the resources to protect everyone—not like we did in the bunker."
Percy leaned over the map, scanning the markings Justin had made. There were supply routes, caches of food and clothing, and potential safe zones.
"You've done incredible work," Percy said, nodding. "But we'll need more than just supplies. We need allies—magical and otherwise."
Jenny frowned. "Do you think the Ministry will help?"
Percy shook his head firmly. "The Ministry's focus is always on control. If they knew what we were planning, they'd try to take over—or worse, shut us down."
Justin crossed his arms. "Then who can we trust?"
Percy hesitated, his mind racing. Harry? No, not yet. He couldn't risk bringing his brother into this until he had more concrete plans. Bill and Charlie could help with magical defenses, but they weren't enough.
"I'll handle the magical side," Percy said finally. "But we'll need to strengthen what you've already built here. This warehouse could be a lifeline, but only if it's fortified."
Jenny gestured to the map. "We've been scouting other locations too. There's an abandoned factory a few miles away—it's larger than this place, but it'll need a lot of work."
Percy nodded. "Mark it as a priority. We'll use this warehouse as a base for now, but if the freeze begins early, we'll need backup locations."
Building Morale
As the group continued to plan, Percy noticed the tension in their faces. They were holding up well, but the fear of what was to come lingered in their eyes.
He leaned forward, his voice softening. "I know how hard this is. What we went through... what we lost. But this time, we're not starting from nothing. We know what's coming, and we know how to fight it."
Jenny gave him a small, hopeful smile. "Because of you, Boss."
Percy shook his head. "Because of us. We survived together once, and we'll do it again. This time, we'll be ready."
The group nodded, their resolve strengthening.
A Startling Revelation
As the meeting wrapped up, Justin hesitated, glancing at Percy. "There's something else you need to know."
Percy tensed. "What is it?"
Justin exchanged a glance with Jenny before speaking. "There's someone else out there—someone like us."
Percy frowned. "Like us?"
"Someone who remembers," Jenny said, her voice low. "We don't know who, but we've seen signs—movements, preparations. They're working on something big."
Percy's mind raced. Another survivor? Someone else who had been pulled back in time?
"Do you think they're an ally?" Percy asked.
"We're not sure," Justin admitted. "But if they're preparing for the freeze, we'll cross paths eventually."
Percy sat back, his mind spinning. Another player in the game. Was it someone he could trust—or someone he had to stop?
"Keep an eye out," Percy said finally. "If you find out who they are, I want to know."
Justin nodded. "Understood."
The Promise
As the meeting broke up, Percy lingered in the warehouse, staring at the shelves of supplies and the plans laid out before him.
"This time will be different," he murmured to himself, his voice filled with quiet determination.
He didn't know who else was out there, or what challenges lay ahead, but one thing was certain: Percy Weasley wouldn't let the world freeze without a fight.
