Himani walked slowly across the ground, her head heavy with exhaustion. She wasn't feeling well, so she decided to head back home and rest. The lunch break had just ended, and although most students were scattered across the field, no one was particularly close to her. She sighed in relief, thinking she'd be able to slip away unnoticed.

But suddenly, a voice broke through her thoughts, smooth and familiar, yet sending a chill down her spine. "Hi Himani beta... kaisi ho tum?"

Her heart skipped a beat. She froze in place, her breath caught in her throat. A sense of dread washed over her, the world around her feeling distant and muffled. For a moment, she thought maybe she had imagined it, but when a hand gently landed on her shoulder, her body stiffened. The warmth of the touch made her pulse race.

"Kaisi ho tum?" The voice again, this time closer, and the hand remained there, as if trying to comfort her, but all it did was send waves of panic through her.

Her body trembled, a wave of cold sweat breaking out across her skin. She took a shaky breath, trying to control the overwhelming feeling of fear that gripped her chest. Her legs felt weak as she slowly turned around. Her eyes widened, and tears pricked at the corners of her eyes when she saw him standing there.

"A... aap?" she whispered, her voice barely audible, filled with a mix of disbelief and terror. She instinctively took a step back, her body trembling violently. Her mind was a whirlwind of confusion and fear—she couldn't believe he was really here, so close, after everything. The sight of him was enough to send her heart racing, and the tears that threatened to spill over in the next moment were a testament to the turmoil inside her.

Her eyes locked with his, her expression a mixture of fear, confusion, and the unspoken questions that flooded her mind.

"Bahut miss kar raha tha tumhe... chalo, thoda ghoom kar aate hain," he said, his lips curling into a creepy smile that made her stomach churn.

Himani's eyes widened in terror. "Nahi... nahi," she stammered, her voice barely audible as she started walking backward in fear. Her legs trembled, and she felt like the ground beneath her was slipping away. "Aa... aap andar kaise?" she asked, her voice trembling, tears welling up and sliding silently down her cheeks.

He stepped closer, his movements calculated and invasive. Without warning, his hand shot out, gripping her elbow tightly, halting her retreat. "Yaad aa rahi thi tumhari... islea aa gaya milne," he said with a smirk that only deepened her dread.

Her breath hitched as a cold shiver ran down her spine. "Chhodiye!" she gasped, her words rushed and desperate. She tried pulling her arm back, but his grip tightened, unyielding. "Help... help," she cried out, but her voice was so faint, choked by fear, that it barely carried in the empty ground.
