Chapter 40

Ruhi looked at everyone for once and then looked down embarassingly. She again raised her lashes and looked at Siddharth with some courage and instantly looked down when she realized that he was already looking at her angrily.

She controlled herself hard to not shed tears in front of her classmates. But, her heart broke as she was punished by her own friend who had started hating her now just for a text which he could simply ignore if he wasn't interested rather than embarassing her in front of everyone.

When the lecture began, Abhishek opened the door of the classroom and entered. He was about to bump with Ruhi as he didn't have any idea of her punishment. He apologized to her quickly and then to his place and kept his stuffs.

Everyone stood up and wished him. He smiled and gestured them to sit. Then, he looked at Ruhi,"Sumedh sir punished ?"

She looked at him while continuing and nodded in no.

"No ? Then, which teacher ?"He asked confusingly.

"Si.. Siddharth."She said in very low voice.

"Siddharth ?"He looked at her confusingly. Everyone shockingly looked at each other as everyone thought that she was punished by Sumedh because of the message,"Koi new teacher hai kya ?"

She controlled her tears more and nodded in no and gestured lightly towards Siddharth. Abhishek looked at the direction where she gestured and widened his eyes. He was about to ask something to Siddharth but stopped and looked at Ruhi.

"Go back to your seat."Abhishek told Ruhi. She didn't go and continued doing her punishment with lowered eyelashes.

Abhishek repeated,"No need of continuing punishment. Go.. Go to your seat." She didn't stop still and nodded in no.

Abhishek sighed and went to her and asked in low voice,"I said go."

"Uska gussa kam nhi hoga.. complaint kar dega phirse sir se.."She said in quaverry voice.

"Kuch nhi karega.. main dekh lungga.. by the way.. punishment mili kyu hai ?"He asked in low voice,"You misbehaved with him ?"

"I.. I sent message to him that I.. I love him."She almost mutter and then burst into tears.

The sound of her sob echoed in the whole classroom as there was pin drop silence. She said something while sobbing which wasn't understandable. She left her tears and covered her mouth to control her sob, but she sobbed more. She choked into her emotions.

Abhishek worriedly placed hand on her shoulder to
console her. Siddharth looked at her and his anger melted slowly. He felt a pin in his heart when he saw her sob. There were some unconscious feelings which made him sad. He didn't realize that his insecurities and fear stopped him from realizing his love for her.

"Shh.. Koi baat nhi beta.. aaise royo mat."Abhishek tried hard to console her while patting her back. Soon, the class filled with whispering sound.

"That's okay beta, main baat karungga usse.. itni si baat par koi punish karta hai aaise."He said to calm her down,"Aaise royo mat."

"No sir, aap mat baat kariyega usse.. I don't want ki vo phir gussa ho jaye."She said in between her chok.

"Acha theek hai.. tum abhi shant ho jayo.. main kuch nhi kahungga usse."He said and caressed her hair.

She sniffed and nodded in yes. She controlled herself and reduced her sob.
