The girl took out her phone, opened the photo, and turned the screen towards Himani with a mocking smirk. It was the photo with Abhishek. He was looking at Himani with a warm smile, and she was looking down, her cheeks flushed with a soft blush. "Haaye... kitna sharma rahi ho..." the girl teased with an exaggerated tone.
Himani's heart skipped a beat as she glanced at the photo, panic rising in her chest. "Nahi... ye... ye galat hai. Aisa kuch nahi hai. Abhishek sir nahi hain mere husband..." she said hastily, her voice shaky and defensive.
The girl raised an eyebrow, clearly enjoying the moment. "Acha... tune kaha aur hum maan lengge? Pregnancy mein tu apnein pati ke alawa kisi aur ke saath mall mein kar kya rahi thi?" she mocked, her tone dripping with accusation.
Himani felt her throat tighten, a lump forming. Her eyes welled up a little, but she quickly wiped her tears away, trying to stay composed. "Nahi... wo... wo mere husband ko jaante hain... to hmare saath gye the..." she explained, but the words seemed so weak in the face of the girl's taunts.
The girl let out a harsh laugh. "Kitni daramein baaz hai tu... aur jhooti bhi... Jhoot par jhoot bol rhi hai... dur dur tak koi nahi tha tum dono ke alawa," she said, her voice laced with venom.
Himani felt her cheeks burn with shame, but just as the tension in the room seemed to rise to an unbearable level, a voice broke through the taunting.
"Bakwas bandh karo tum... main bhi tha uss din, samjh aayi." Siddharth's voice was firm and cutting, his tone sharp as he stood up from his seat. The classroom fell silent as he glared at the girl.
"Haan to tu to rahega hi... devar jo hai tu... bhabhi bhabhi bolta rehta hai ise," another girl taunted, her tone laced with mockery.
Himani's eyes brimmed with tears. She looked down, unable to meet their judgmental gazes, and said softly, "Aisa kuch nahi hai... aap log please aisa kuch mat sochiye..." A tear rolled down her cheek as her voice faltered.
Siddharth, standing nearby, clenched his fists. He looked at the group with a sharp glare and firmly said, "Pareshan mat karo use... sharam aati hai tum logo ko?"
But his words only fueled their amusement. "Oo, devar ka bura lag raha hai? Ya kahi iska pati tu hi to nahi... jiski ye baat kar rahi thi?" another girl teased, letting out a giggle.
As soon as the words were out, Ruhi's gaze snapped toward Siddharth. Her eyes, filled with sadness, met his for the first time in days. Siddharth, who had been avoiding any interaction or even a glance at her since the incident when he punished her, froze. He caught her teary expression and felt a pang of guilt. His lips parted as if to say something, but instead, he lightly shook his head in a subtle "no," silently trying to reassure her. It was the first gesture of acknowledgment between them, a quiet moment amid the chaos.
Himani, meanwhile, wiped her tears and gathered some courage. "Aap log kyu kuch bhi bole jaa rahe ho? Aapko kya problem hai mujhse?" she asked, her voice trembling but determined.
The girl who had started the taunts smirked and said with disdain, "Abhishek sir pasand the mujhe... sharam nahi aayi unhe fhasate huwe?"
Himani's cheeks flushed with anger and frustration. "Abhishek sir se mera koi lena dena nahi hai, aap kyu nahi samajh rahe hain?" she said, her voice breaking slightly as she defended herself.
