Chapter 32: Fear of Flying Level 100

"Seto! We did it; we're safe!" Mokuba nearly shouted as we came out of the cockpit. But he stopped dead in his tracks, as did I. I looked up to find Seto facing a machine monster I had never seen before in my life or could even imagine. It was ten times the size of the plane and was a robot mixed with a tank in appearance with thirty-plus cannons pointed directly at Seto. My eyes widened in terror and my hand came to cover my mouth to hide my gasp.

"Uh oh," Mokie trailed off.

"You don't stand a chance Kaiba! I now hold the most destructive war machine ever created. Oh, and did I mention it's powered by the Orichalcos?" Alister declared loud enough for us to hear. The noise around us had dampened but it was still extremely hard to hear their exchanges. I couldn't make much out, but Alister was explaining what the monster could do.

"Seto! Please stop the duel!" Mokie cried from beside me, taking in the terrifying scene in front of us. While we were busy saving the plane from crashing, it seems as though Seto has found himself in a dire situation.

"Mokuba, I've never backed down from a challenge and I don't plan on starting today." Seto said firmly. He was in full duel mode. He was Kaiba, champion duelist, right now, not Seto. To be honest, despite the circumstances, watching Seto duel has become one of my favorite things to do since being reunited. To see the drive and determination laced in his eyes and stance was entrancing to me.

"Yea, but if you lose, he gets your soul."

"Please there's only one thing this joker is going to get and that's the defeat of a lifetime." Seto said looking down at both of us still looking as confident as ever. Even when faced with eminent defeat he is still going to fight until his last card.

"Mokie, even if he tried, once the seal is activated, it can't be destroyed unless it is broken by a piece of the Orichalcos stone or it takes the losing soul with it. If Seto tries to stop the duel, it will respond as if he forfeits and will take his soul anyways." I explained the unfortunate reality to the younger Kaiba.

"Rika, how are you so calm? You love Seto and he could lose his soul." I looked down at the boy standing next to me and raised an eyebrow.

"Who said I love your brother?"

"I can tell. He loves you too, by the way." He said grinning before returning his focus to the duel. Damn you Mokie, dropping a bomb like that and then acting as if it meant nothing. The joys of being so young, pure, and naïve.

"And trust me Mokie, I'm far from calm. I've just taken a few pages from your brother's book and have become very good at hiding emotions."

I looked up to see Alister continuing to rant at Seto with a glare that if looks could kill, he'd be six feet under the ground in an impenetrable coffin.

"You're about to feel the agony that my family felt at the hands of your stepfather." Alister said with an evil chuckle at the end. I narrowed my eyes at the creep. What does he have planned? Seto may have no monsters on the field but he's not stupid.

"I told you! What he did to you has nothing to do with Seto! Our stepfather was a jerk and we never supported him. Seto overthrew him and turned the company into something better!"

"Mokuba stop, we don't have to defend ourselves to him." Seto cut him off before he could continue on his rant. The Kaiba brothers were very protective of each other to a lethal level at times. Mokuba was no different when it came to standing up for his big brother.

"Right, you are. In fact, there is no way you can defend yourself against my Ziggurat. You may want to start saying your goodbyes." He said motioning towards Mokie and me. He continued but I wasn't listening to him anymore. My attention was on his opponent. Seto was now enraged at him once again bringing up his stepfather and threatening Mokuba.
