Got this idea from fanart from Malleus's gargoyle club outfit

"18...19...20! Ready or not, here I come!"

The prefect turned away from the tree she was counting and with an ecstatic look on her face. Her blue eyes scanned around the open area of the school.

There was nothing around her, but that didn't bother her. After all, it's hide and seek. And she was the seeker. Yuuma started looking around for the hider, digging through the bushes and looking up at the trees.

"Lilia did say that Malleus has trouble hiding his horns when playing hide and seek." She mumbled to herself, keeping an eye out for that particular detail. She had gotten Malleus to join her when she found him surveying gargoyles.

"Malleus Draconia. Where are you hiding?" She asked, moving to another spot to look. Unknown to the prefect, a pair of green eyes was staring at her from the above, smiling in amusement as he watched. A rumble reached his ears, and he glanced up to see the sky turning gray.

"Hmm... let's hope you find me before it rains." He commented, glancing at his umbrella. If that happened, he was prepared.

A couple of minutes passed, and Yuuma was still looking for the dragon fae. She had surveyed almost the whole school. Well, actually, they laid out rules about where to hide. Just to avoid any trouble. For one, he wasn't at the dorms and neither the classrooms. The only places they agreed he could hide were the main street, courtyard, and the sports field.

She knew he was not gonna break the rules like some people she knew. Plus, with Malleus being feared by many of the students, she thought to keep it safe with the locations lest he got found by someone else, and she would find a hoard of frightened students running.

"Hmmm, where he is? He's good at hiding just as he is good at... not attending stuff." She mumbled the last part quietly, not wishing to hurt his feelings if he heard that.

Rumble....

"Hm?"

A rumble made her look up to the sky, and she felt a drop of water hit her nose. The sky had gotten darker, and it looked like it was about to rain. "Oh boy. I didn't bring a hoodie or an umbrella. I gotta find Malleus, or else I'm gonna catch a cold trying." She brought up, feeling another drop hit her nose and then another, and then...

"Aya! It's pouring!" She shouted in alarm, finding herself get drenched in seconds. Scanning around, she spotted the school with the gargoyles on top, perched on an edge that would serve as perfect covering.

"Yes, yes, yes!" She exclaimed in hope, rushing over there for protection from the rain. There were still droplets, but it was less heavier than being outside. Rubbing her arms as she felt the cold sink through the fabric of her clothing and into her skin.

She glanced back to the outdoors, seeing how heavy it rained. "Yikes. I hope Malleus is hiding somewhere he's dry." She commented, holding her hand up to see the raindrops stopped pouring. At least she was out of the rain.

However, her eyes looked ahead and noticed something unusual. There were still raindrops dripping down from the edge. She glanced up to see the gargoyles, drenched from the rain. That's when it hit her. Malleus loved gargoyles a lot, and if her spot somehow left her dry, then that pointed to one thing.

Once the dots connected, she glanced up to see what had actually been covering her from the rain. A pair of green eyes stood out from the shadows and stared at her, holding an umbrella above his head and hers. A normal person would probably get scared and run by now. Yuuma's eyes widen slowly and...

"Malleus! Haha! Found you!"

The corners of her mouth perked into a smile as Malleus leaned out of the shadows, smiling fondly. "Yes. It's about time. I was starting to worry when it began to rain." He explained, partly relieved to see she had found him. Though he gave himself, he didn't mind as long as it meant the prefect was sheltered from catching the cold. Lilia would've scolded him for it for sure.

He jumped down, not letting the umbrella leave their heads. "Hold this." He instructed her, passing her the umbrella before he proceeded to remove the jacket. "I should've known you would've hid with your stony friends. Just like when we were on that trip for the masquerade event. Only that time, those guys were alive..." she started to explain until a heavy weight was placed on her shoulders.

Malleus was putting his rain coat on her, making it shield her body from the rain and the cold. She glanced up at him, and their eyes met. He smiled fondly at her. In truth, he was just glad she wasn't afraid to ask him to join in games like this. Deep down, it meant a lot to him. She was one of the few people to never run away from him.

"I think that's enough of hide and seek. Come. Let's return to your dorm until the rain stops." He suggested, starting to feel like he sounded like Lilia whenever they finished playing. "Alright. Hey, next time we should get you to play with the others hide and seek. What do you think?" She suggested, earning a chuckle from him at her love for games and getting everyone involved.
