In this moment, Leona and Yuuma are grown up and married and have a cub that's just been born recently
In Sunset Savanna, the royal palace...
"Really? Prince Leona is a father now?"
A female zebra servant asked, surprised as she and her friends were walking, bringing some fruits to the kitchen for tonight's dinner.
"Yes. Much has happened while you were on vacation." The male giraffe servant told her, glancing at her before looking ahead.
"I can't imagine anyone wanting to take Leona as their mate. Not to mention him being a father. Who's the wife?" The zebra inquired curiously.
"A human name Yuuma. She and Leona were classmates at his school. I've heard she is one of the most powerful mages in all of Twisted Wonderland." The gazelle beast woman explained to her.
Before they continued with the conversation, the giraffe beastman spotted something coming torwards them. After studying it from a far way to make out what it was, his eyes widened.
"Hold your tongues! Prince Leona and Lady Yuuma are coming!"
He warned them, bowing his head down immediately as his coworkers followed him. As they drew closer, the servants glanced their eyes up nervously to look at the new parents.
The couple were dressed in simple, loose clothing with orange and green patterns on. Leona had grown a bit, his hair grew longer, tied in a braid to stay out of the way, and even grew a goatee.
As for his mate, Yuuma had grown from that skinny teenager into a beautiful young woman. Her exposed arms showed a slightly muscular build due to training with Leona on physical and magic combat. Her hair was styled loose, with part of it held in two cat ear shaped buns to resemble the ears of lion.
Grim walked by the former prefect's side, having grown too. He was as big as a panther, and his white fur grew more around his neck, almost forming a mane.
Leona didn't bother to spare a glance at the anxious servants, merely yawning casually as he continued walking.
"Hi there!" His wife greeted them cheerfully, waving her hand at them with a big smile. It eased the servants who greeted her back.
"Mew mew."
The servants' animal ears rose up when they heard tiny growls, and they spotted something small nestled against Yuuma's chest. She was holding a little lion cub beastman to her child. Its eyes were blinking open, starting to awake from its nap.
"Oh. Baby also says hi!" She informed them, holding his little hand out and waving at them for her child. "Oi! Herbivore!" Yuuma looked up to see she had fallen behind and her husband ahead of her, waiting impatiently.
"Sorry, Leona! Bye, guys!" She told them hastily, quickening her pace to catch up to him as the servants observed from afar. As she caught up, she smiled sheepishly at him as the lion rolled his eyes.
As Yuuma turned her back and walked ahead, the lion prince glanced at the servants briefly. His green eyes narrowed at them suspiciously before taking his leave.
The servants lifted their heads up, feeling more at ease once he was gone. They watched as the new parents walked away and out of earshot.
"So, that's the new addition to the royal family. She's very nice. But how could she marry someone so distant and lazy like Leona? Really, he's gonna make her life miserable." The zebra woman asked, feeling sorry for the new mother.
"And what about that poor cub? He won't feel any love." She continued as the giraffe turned around to look at her. "No clue. Seeing how Leona wants nothing to do with Prince Cheka, I would not be surprised if he avoided his own-"
"That's enough."
The servants frozen and their ears stood up and straight. Their eyes widen, and hearts drop when they heard a deep voice behind them. One they knew. Reluctantly turning around, their faces went pale, and their ears fell.
"K-King Falena! Queen Neliah!"
The king stood before, glaring down at the chatty servants with anger. His brown eyes narrowed at them firmly as they bowed down. His wife, Neliah, stood at his side with a disapproving look on her face. The king and queen had overheard the servants and were not pleased.
"You're majestic. We-" the giraffe stuttered, trying to make an excuse but was silenced when Falena held a hand up. It was a quiet order for him to be silent.
"I would advise that you never ever talk behind my brother and sister in law's backs. Or my nephew. If I even hear a rumor come from your mouths, I will let my brother deal with you himself. Understood?"
"Y-Yes, your majesty!" The servants all said, sweating in nervousness. Prince Leona's wrath was one thing, but Falena was more terrifying when he was angry. The blazing orange mane lion took a deep breath to calm himself before dismissing the servants to get back to work.
The servants were silent as they hurriedly left with their tails between their legs. As they vanished from view, Falena sighed tiredly, letting his shoulders slump. A gentle hand rested on his shoulder, rubbing it to soothe the anger in him.
"Falena?" He heard his wife speak, her voice helping him to calm down. The king turned around, placing his hand on top of hers with a worried and saddened expression.
"It's been a few days since our nephew had been born. And already, I find the servants speaking behind their backs." He told her as she wrapped her arm around him and started walking.
"Why can't they just keep it to themselves?" He questioned in fustration, turning to Neliah for answers. She offered an assuring smile to him, her golden eyes shining. "Falena, my love, you can't silence every gossip and rumor that comes up, and besides, Leona isn't a cub anymore. He's learned to ignore what is not true." The lioness queen reminded him calmly, spotting something from behind them.
Falena's ears and eyes looked down, still feeling worried. "Yes, I know that. But it is now directed to his wife and child. I've even heard rumors of their marriage being a forced marriage. Can you believe that? If Leona's family suffers, he will think it's his fault." Falena told her, unhappy about this.
However, as he spoke, Neliah kept her eyes on what was behind him. Her golden eyes widened as she recognized it, and her ears perked at an idea. "Falena, my love. Let me show you something..." she told him, smiling knowingly at him. He raised an eyebrow at her, sensing she had something in mind. The eagered queen gently tugged his arm to a certain spot her husband needed to see.
