"Simple, I just don't wanna get stuck with the annoying paperwork" Pretender's response make hiruzen facepalm.
"Seriously..." (Hiruzen)
"Yep!" Pretender says and hiruzen sighs in defeat.
"Guess there's no arguing with you" (Hiruzen)
"Hey now don't be sad, If you'd like i can suggest you an even better candidate than myself" Pretender says and this piqued the old kage's attention.
"Oh and who would that be" Hiruzen asks curiously.
"Itachi uchiha" (Pretender)
"Itachi you say..." (Hiruzen)
"Yep, The boy is young but he has great intellect as well as impressive skills. I'd say he's quite suitable for the hokage's position" (Pretender)
"Hm...Not a bad suggestion but still isn't he kinda young" (Hiruzen)
"Come on brat, My son gaara is way younger than itachi yet he's the kazekage" Pretender says and hiruzen on this carefully thought for a moment.
"Alright but what guarantee is there that he won't refuse either" (Hiruzen)
"Oh don't you worry, He will accept" With those words pretender teleports away.

"WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING MINATO!!!" Jiraiya shouted at minato, The toad sage wasn't pleased with his student. After coming back to the village he learn that minato has resigned from the hokage's post.
Minato however didn't respond and just continue to look outside of his window, Ever since naruto's last visit both parents have gone into depression.
Kushina for the past week kept herself locked in her room and spent most of her time crying, Minato on the other hand wasn't doing any better either. He just continues to drown himself in sake. Thereby trying to ease up the pain in his heart.
"I--i can't...I can't be hokage anymore sensei...Not after knowing what naruto had to go through...Because of us, I-i couldn't save...M-my own s-son..." Minato says while crying, He then recalled the memory of those nasty scars on naruto's body.
"Get a grip minato!! I know it was unfortunate but that doesn't mean you should give up, Sometime sacrifices like that had to be made in order to succeed" (Jiraiya)
"Not that sacrifice..." (Minato)
"Minato lis---" (Jiraiya)
"Sensei i'm sorry but i prefer if you leave me alone for now..." (Minato)

"Fine, Though i actually came here to tell you that i have located where the leader of the akatsuki is hiding" Jiraiya says hoping to catch minato's interest but the blonde just remain silent while still looking outside.
"...Tell lord 3rd about it" That's all minato says, Jiraiya sighs in defeat and shunshin away.
A few minutes pass by and minato is still looking outside the window until suddenly he hears a scream of his wife, Hearing it he instantly gets up and rush towards her.
