It was an important day for Addison, today was her last day of work before she could comfortability start her maternity leave. There was a lot of things planned for Addison today. Angela and Lucy had secretly planned Addy a baby shower after work at her house, and was looking forward to surprising the mommy to be. Addison was relieved to be able to start her maternity leave. She couldn't wait to comfortably relax in her lounge clothes on the couch.
Currently Addy was making breakfast in their kitchen. Both, her and Tim had some extra time before they had to be at the station. Tim walks into the kitchen and wraps his arms around Addison's waist "Good morning baby, it smells good" he says to her, placing a kiss on the nape of her neck. Addy smiles as she plates the pancakes. "Thank you, can't believe today's the last day of work for me" she tells him. It was a bittersweet feeling. Tim nods his head as he suddenly remembers something. His eyes widen as he looks down at the time on his phone.
"Oh shit, Addy I'm sorry I totally forgot. Um Isabel texted me. She's in town and needed to talk, so I just told her to come here. I hope that's okay." He says scratching the back of his neck.
Addy places the spatula she was holding down and turns to look at Tim "So, let me get this straight. Isabel, your ex wife is coming to our house to 'talk' and you want me to be cool with that?" She asks as she grows irritated. Tim nodded his head, Addy has been on a rollercoaster of emotions lately one minute she was happy the next she was either crying or angry.
Tim holds his hands up in defense "What? I'm sorry I was going to tell you last night. But, we were distracted. Then i was going to tell you this morning before you got in the shower. But, then I got into the shower" Addy rolls her eyes "It's fine" she says and as on cue the doorbell rings causing Sadie to run to the door and bark.
Tim opens the door and sees Isabel standing at the doorway. Addy's eyes widen she looked good. Her hair was a vibrant blonde, her skin was clear, and she looked like she had healthy weight put on her. She looked good. Tim eyes her for a minute before smiling "Isabel hey, wow you look great" he says stepping aside and letting her in.
Isabel laughs "Thanks, amazing what a few years of sobriety does on the skin" She says before looking over at Addison. Her eyes trail down her face stopping at her growing belly. Her eyes widen as she looks in between Addy and Tim "Addison, it's so nice to meet you. Also, congrats on the baby." She says gesturing to her stomach.
Addison smiles as she feels uncomfortable. Tim wouldn't stop staring at Isabel and Isabel couldn't stop staring at Tim. Addison looks over at Tim as she clears her throat "Well, I'm going to the station. I'll talk to you later" she says to Tim before looking over at Isabel "Nice meeting you Isabel" She says grabbing her bags before leaving the house.
