Chapter Thirty-Two
End Game**
After Addison had gotten the Tap things had went downhill since then. Addy and Tim were constantly fighting. It was over stupid things, they would fight when they would get home, and go to bed with no word spoken. Addison didn't know what was going on. Ever since she had told Tim about the tap things have went downhill.Addison had taken her detectives exam. She had only hoped she passed. She was waiting for the results that could come in any day now. Addy didn't bother telling Tim the news because it seemed like he didn't care.
Tim however was battling with his own emotions. He knew he was the one to blame. His past with Isabel was making him unable to get over Addy getting the Tap. He didn't know why he felt the way he did. He was truly happy for her but didn't want to see Addison get hurt.
When Tim woke up this morning Addison was already out of bed. He glances over at the clock on the nightstand and sighs. It was still early if he knew Addy she was probably on the waves surfing before work.
When Addy surfed in the morning it was her way of releasing stress and anxiety before work. She had spent a good hour on the waves before she went to the station. She figured she could shower there and get ready.
After Addy had gotten ready she was called into Sergeant Grey's office. She closes the door behind him.
"Good morning Sargent, you wanted to see me?" She says to him. He nods his head and grabs a folder and a little velvet box on his desk.
He smiles at her and hands her the paper. Addy looks down and read the information. A huge smile on her face as she processed the news.
"Congratulations Addison, or should I say detective. You scored number 1 out of the testers, this will be your last shift as a patrol officer." He tells her, he hands her the box. She opens the box and smiled. Inside was a detectives badge, with her name on it.
"I'm so happy, thank you so much. Who will I be working with?" She asks. Although she figured it was with Harper and Angela.
"You'll be assigned with Harper and Lopez" Addy nodded and thanked Sergeant Grey once again for the opportunity.
**
Lucy was riding with Tim today, which Addison didn't complain about. She didn't want to see Tim. Addy knew their relationship wasn't in the best place because he didn't even text her to check in today.Addy was doing paperwork at the station in preparation for tomorrows first day as a detective.
Harper walks over to her with a smile on her lips "Congrats Detective" she says with a smile. She sits down on the side of Addy.
