** Addy took 2 weeks to recover physically and mentally. She had undergone multiple mental health tests before she had gotten cleared to return to work. So, she couldn't help but feel nervous yet excited when she saw the little black checkmark on her wellness report.
Lucy, Jackson, and Nolan had checked on her multiple times and had offered any support she had needed. Even Tim had texted her and visited her to make she sure was recovering. Addy didn't dare to tell anyone not even Lucy that Tim would come over.
Addy had also booked an appointment for her tattoo removal from Caleb. She couldn't stand to look at the horrible ink on her side. It gave her nightmares.
Addy sighed as she got dressed for work she gave her pup a few pats before she took off to the station.
Many officers stopped and took the time to welcome Addison back to work. Addy couldn't help but feel slightly embarrassed as she thought about being honored by everyone before roll call. She hated when attention was on her.
Addy sighed and walked into the briefing room as every officer stopped talking and gave her a round of applause.
"Welcome back Officer Manning, it's good to see you" Sergeant Grey spoke as he watched the young woman speed walk to her chair. Tim couldn't help but steal glances over at Addison's back as Sergeant Grey started to brief the officers.
"Lastly, the brass wants us to increase our social media presence within the community." Sergeant Grey says. Bradford snaps out of his staring and looks over at Grey "We're cops not influencers" he says with sarcasm.
"Like it or not, Officer Bradford, you're both. A strong relationship with the public makes us all safer. So let's show them we're people, too. Get out there, take a few selfies." He looks over at Nolan who has his hand raised "Yes, Officer Nolan?"
"Back in Foxburg I knew almost all the officers by name" he says agreeing with Greys briefing. Nyla scoffs "That's because there was only 3" everyone starts to laugh.
The laughter settles down as Nolan continues "Five, but the number didn't matter. It's just that they spent most of their time on foot. I mean, how are we supposed to take a selfie with someone when we're trapped in our shop most of the day?" He asks. Sergeant Grey crosses his arms and smirks.
"That's a good point. We do spend too much time locked inside our shops. New plan. Everyone spends the morning on foot patrol" everyone starts to groan. "Good one, Officer Nolan."
** Addy and Tim are walking along the sidewalk as they stop in front of a cafe. A man walks out of the cafe and stops the two officers.
