Addy, Lucy, Jackson and Nolan didn't sleep a wink last night. They all had pulled an all nighter together as they guarded Nolan's house, in case someone unexpected showed up. Addy was exhausted and that was visibly prominent when she looked at her self in the mirror. So, she made sure she had put on just enough make up to cover the bags under her eyes.

Once the rookies had arrived to the station they immediately were called over to the briefing room before shift started.

"Thank you for coming in, most of you on your day off. Till this is resolved, all overtime limits have been lifted." Captain Anderson explained.

Grey looked over at the white board with information about the white supremacy gang "As you may know, Southern Front originated as a white supremacist prison gang about 15 years ago. Since then, they have branched out in a big way. Drugs, prostitution, extortion. But what sets them apart is their access to military weapons.
Their leader, the so-called "King Midas," is currently serving three consecutive life sentences. His son, Cole, he controls the day-to-day operations on the street. But make no mistake, his father is pulling the strings. Lifting the greenlight would be a huge loss of face for Cole, so he's not gonna do it willingly." He explains to everyone.

Anderson nods her head agreeing with Grey "We need to take down his operation" she explain.

Everyone was on their toes during their shifts. Their goals were to take down anyone who worked for Midas and get the green light off of Nolan. To say the booking room was full was an understatement.

Their were two holding designated for women and men that worked for Midas. Addy sighs as she brings in another man who was apart of Southern Front.

"I'll handle processing. You get started on the asset paperwork." Tim tells her. Addy looks over and nods her head.

"still don't see how confiscating 20 gallons of lube is gonna get the gang to back off Nolan." She says grabbing the folder from the desk.

Tim sighs "Asset forfeiture is where we do the most damage today. Law says we can seize everything and anything connected to their illegal operation. Vehicles, merchandise, even the massage parlor." He explained to her.

He watches as Addy changes her facial expression to confusion "Well, so, why didn't we hit it last week? Vice knew that Southern Front owned that shop." She asks.

"'Cause it's whack-a-mole. You take out one criminal enterprise, another one takes its place. Usually not a good use of our time. But today, that's exactly what we want. Make sure Southern Front's scared one of their competitors is about to move in, a -" Tim explains but he stops mid sentence when he looks over Addy and sees who is watching him.

Addy turns her head and see internal affairs officer Murphy watching every officer who was processing criminals.

Tim was angry and Addy knew it, the view in his head that was usually subtle was enlarged and looked like it was ready to pop. She watches as he storms over to her as the two are in a heated conversation.

Addy watches the conversation as she knew it was getting intense. She feared that Tim was going to cross the line with Murphy and get him self in trouble.

She walks over to them "Uh, hey, I need you to come check something for me. I want to make sure I'm doing it by the book. Okay? So, come on." She lies. Tim looks down at her and nods. Murphy looks over at the Rookie "Hey, you know what? If I were you, I'd ask for another T.O." She tells her.

Addy wanted to scoff and roll her eyes but she didn't. She just looked over at Murphy with a blank face "Yeah, well, you're not me. Ma'am" she says before following Tim back to holding.

Hours had went by Sergeant Grey was becoming worried as dispatch haven't heard on the status of Nolan and Captain Anderson. They had answered an assumed burglary call and haven't responded with their status.

Grey started to think the worse was happening as he rallied up every officer to go to the house.

Addy was strapping on an extra vest as she gave one more final adjustment before following Tim.

Nolan heard many sirens in the distance as he cradled the dead body of Captain Anderson in his arms.

No one knew how to respond to the news of Captain Anderson. When they came into work the next morning everyone had a black ribbon on their desks waiting for them to put it on.

Addy sighed as Tim walked up to her and helped her clip the ribbon onto her badge. He looked down at her his blue eyes scanning her brown ones. He knew she was upset the death of the captain was affecting everyone.

He placed a hand on her shoulder in attempts to comfort his rookie.

"I know it's upsetting, but we both need to focus on catching this guy. If not that can be one of us. It's going to be okay Addy" he tells her. Addison nods her head and follows Tim to the shop as they both head down to the location where Midas was suspected.

**
Every officer was lined up behind the shops as they all had their guns drawn. Midas was going to be at this location in approximately 3 minutes.

Once the familiar car came into view Sergeant Grey announced to him that it was over and to surrender.

Addy looked over at Nolan who grabbed his handcuffs out of his pocket.

"He shouldn't be the one to arrest him" Bishop says. Addy wanted to roll her eyes she thought this would provide closure to Nolan.

Everyone watched as Nolan read Midas his Miranda rights before he was loaded into the shop. It was over, Midas had been caught, now the challenging part would begin, Helping the department get over Captain Anderson's death.

This is the end of Season 1. How do we feel? I'm excited for this slow burn relationship to keep growing. It's going to get exciting! How do we like it?
