It wasn't long after his mother had left that Himi arrived to have breakfast. As usual, she was half-awake, her eyes droopy as her hair laid a tangled mess.
"Zuzu... Hungry..." Her voice lethargic, she scooted closer to Izuku and opened her mouth wide. Not fighting the act, Izuku let her take a bite out of his neck, blood seeping from the punctures and into Himi's mouth. He could feel the blonde girl gulp them down, each gulp gaining more and more strength as he felt more of his blood drain.
Once she had her fill, she let go of his neck and beamed a wide smile at Izuku. "Delicious~" She said, her arms still hanging around Izuku's back like a noose. "What's for breakfast?"
"I thought my blood was your breakfast?" Izuku smirked and gained a light chuckle from the girl.
"Sorry, but Zuzu's blood is for snacking only." Himi finally stepped away from Izuku, her eyes roaming around the room with pinpoint precision. It landed squarely on the bowl of rice accompanied by a plate of what he had eaten.
With gusto, she sat down and began digging in. Watching her eat was something of a habit with Izuku. He didn't know when it had started, nor why he did so, but it was just something that tickled his chest whenever he did.
Taking the seat right beside her, Izuku patiently waited until Himi had eaten her meal, grains of rice staining the side of her lips and crumbs of fish decorating the table as she made a mess of things. It didn't take too long for her to finish – Himi being a fast and non-picky eater after her time in the streets – and gave off a loud burp.
"Thanks for the food~" She said in a sing-song voice. Grinning at her, Izuku grabbed the tableware and went straight to the sink with Himi following suit. It wasn't a surprise that she did, their morning routine always having them wash the dishes together if they were ever given the task by his mother.
The chore was done in a matter of minutes, and while they were putting the dishes back on display, Izuku had a thought. Since there weren't any classes for the both of them today, and with his mother being busy at work, there was nothing the two could do, other than laze around the house or go for a walk...
Then again, as the winner of the U.A. Sports Festival, his name and face were blowing up on the net, and he didn't want to know what would happen if he was out and about in public where there was a bunch of human traffic.
He didn't do well with crowds, okay? He didn't want his instincts to go haywire and cause a bloodbath because some dude wanted to... take a selfie with him, or something.
Plus, it was something he was ruminating ever since he went to sleep that night. Takobah Municipal Beach Park, the same beach he had visited earlier in the night, was looking more and more like a crime against nature the more he researched about it online, and he wanted to do something about it.
And no, it wasn't because he wanted to do something right, it was because he just didn't like wasting a perfectly good spot to relax and bathe in the sun like his old pal Solaire used to do... Before he became depressed and all. At least he was looking a bit more like himself during the times he aided him in taking down Gwyn, even if he wasn't a witness to the final showdown.
"Zuzu, I know that look. What's on your mind?" Himi asked from the side, a slight pout on her face as she laid a hand on his cheek.
"Just thinking of something we could do for the day." Izuku grabbed her hand and gave it a firm grip. "Something fun... I think."
