Chapter 53

You barrel down the corridors, using the Force as a compass.

You can sense Han, Chewie, Rey, and Finn ahead.

Just then, the building...no. The planet rumbles.

They must have gotten the shields down. And started bombing the Oscillator.

You skid to a stop; you're in the main Oscillator chamber. It's a vast room that has several platforms connected with a catwalk. If you look past the edge of the platform, you're pretty sure you can see clear down to the planet's core.

You see the others, except for Jaina.

"Are you all right?" Han asks Rey.

" Yeah." Rey replies.

"Good."

"What happened -- did he hurt you?" Finn asks.

"Finn. What are you doing here?!" Rey asks.

"We came back for you."

Rey is speechless.

Chewie woofs.

"What'd he say?" Finn asks.

"That it was your idea." Rey replies, smiling through tears.

Finn awkwardly smiles, and they hug.

"Thank you." Rey says.

"How did you get away?" Finn asks.

"You know those exercises we did with Y/n?"

"Escape now. Hug later." Han said.

"Do you need a doctor?" You ask Rey when she and Finn part from the hug.

"Not right now. I might need to be seen when we get out of here."

Your wristcomputer chirps! You can hear some of the audio from the X-Wing and Tie Fighters battle above the base.

You hit the mute button.

Right now, you need to find Jaina.

Everyone heads to the planet's surface. You can see that even with Jedi Battle Meditation, The Resistance is still losing.                    

"Blast. That's not good." You hiss.

We will win. We will bring down Starkiller. You think, reaching out with the Force like you've done time and time again.

Except, you feel...like something's blocking yours and everyone else's best efforts.

"They're in trouble. We can't leave," Han says to Chewie, then he says to Rey and Finn, "My friend here has a bag full of explosives. Let's use 'em."

"Time to go be a part-time circus performer." You say.

You fight the urge to do a whoop of joy, as you swing back and forth across the chasm of the Oscillator Chamber.

You flip over the guard rail of a platform. You land, set a charge, then vault over the rail, and swing to another platform.

The plan is to split up and set an explosive at every other column. Then when everything is all set, to meet at the hatch you had went outside through previously.

The wind in your hair reminds you of when you helped Dajarin and Grogu, retake Mandalor. You had accompanied them because they needed a Healer. When you went with them to the Enclave, you were blindfolded the whole time.

Big whup though, you just saw through the Force.

Dajarin had to vouch for you until the Nerfs came home. He also had to keep the peace when the team-up happened with Boba Fett.
