~Yoongi POV~

"Damn it Y/N where the hell are you!" I think over the situation.

Where else would she go? Damn it why couldn't she just come straight to me like I was taking good care of her wasn't I? Hhhhh if Jungkook was here she'd go running to him fast enough! Wait! Maybe she went to his parents'!

I rush out of the motel and head straight to Jungkook' house.

~Y/N POV~

The hours slip by as the conversation shifts from one thing to the next, filled with lighthearted teasing and stories from both Garth and Larry about the trouble they've gotten into over the years. It's easy to forget the world outside as they reminisce about the past, and you find yourself laughing more than you have in a long while.

Before you know it, the night has deepened, and the glow from the neon lights outside starts to cast a soft, cool light across the bar.

You glance at your phone, surprised at how late it's gotten. "Well, I should probably get going," you say, standing up from the booth.

Larry stands with you, giving you a hug once more. "Don't be a stranger, Y/N. Come back sooner next time, yeah?"

"I will," you promise, giving them a warm smile. "Thanks for everything, you two."

Garth waves as you make your way toward the door. "Take care, Y/N. Don't let the night drag you too far."

You give them a final smile before stepping out into the cool night air, the brisk wind hitting your face as you pull your jacket tighter around you. The streets are quiet now, the city settling into the stillness of the early morning hours.

The walk back home is peaceful, your mind drifting between the warmth of Diablo and the conversations that filled the night. But even in the stillness, a quiet ache remains in the back of your mind. You miss Jungkook. You miss your dad. You always will now. But maybe, just maybe, everything will fall into place eventually.

You make your way across a long bridge and stop in the middle, leaning on the edge of the rails to look down at the night sky reflecting on the water. The gentle current of the water brings a calmness to your mind as you let yourself get carried away in the peaceful hum of the night.

~Yoongi's POV~

After a brief, slightly awkward interaction with Jungkook's parents that involved an extremely edited explanation of why I need to desperately find Y/N, I headed over to Jimin's. I went to Jimin's for no particular reason other than the fact that I don't trust him entirely and he'd be the type to hide her if she asked him to.

I regretted going to Jimin's. I got nowhere and only had to deal with his stupid smirk while I tried to explain myself. Next I headed to Y/N's house although she'd said she wasn't there.

Maybe she went back to get something. I'm sure she's fine, right?

However, the house was sleeping peacefully when I finally arrived there.

Now here I sit, collapsed on the front step of her house, exhausted.

What am I even doing!? Running round the city like a mad man. Maybe I should just go back to the motel and wait for her there.

I slowly get back on my bike and make my way back to the motel in the growing darkness. The evening of frantic driving has made me tired.

I finally make it to the motel's street.

Just over this bridge then I can rest for a bit.

As I approach the bridge, I see a figure standing at the edge. My heart skips a beat. Y/N.

I slam the brakes and skid to a stop, my breath caught in my throat as I park my bike along the edge of the bridge. I take a moment, studying her, trying to make sense of what I'm seeing.

What the hell is she doing? Surely she's not gonna... jump. NO!

Without another thought, I jump off my bike and run toward her. My hands are trembling with fear and adrenaline as I grab her wrist, yanking her toward me.

A startled yelp escapes her lips as I pull her away from the rail. She looks up at me, her face a mixture of shock and confusion.

"Yoongi?" she breathes, eyes wide.

Anger bubbles up inside me, a rush of emotion I can't hold back. "WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING!?" My voice cracks with a mix of fury and fear.

She stumbles back, eyes darting as if searching for the words, but I don't let her finish.

"You think that's the easy way out, huh? Just... just leave everything behind?" My voice shakes now, the weight of what she almost did settling over me like a suffocating blanket. I grip both of her wrists tightly, my hands trembling, but my hold firm. "It's not. It's never that simple... Honestly! What about me?" My voice cracks, softening. The weight of everything I've been holding back finally comes spilling over in one huge tidal wave. Without thinking, I pull her into a tight hug, my arms wrapping around her with a force that feels desperate... like I never want to let go.
