Yoongi's grin widens, and without saying another word, he tugs you gently by the hand. "Come on," he says, his voice lighter now, playful, as if he's enjoying the suspense. You follow him down the path, heart racing with excitement and a touch of confusion.
You continue walking until you reach the building where Jungkook trains. As you step inside, you notice a few employees subtly bowing in Yoongi's direction, their gestures respectful.
What exactly is Yoongi's role here?
Yoongi leads you through the building, guiding you toward the elevator. Once inside, he presses the button for the 7th floor. As the elevator ascends, you feel a subtle anticipation building. The gentle ding signals your arrival, and the doors open to reveal a sleek, modern floor.
Yoongi steps out and begins walking down the hallway at a quick pace. You follow closely behind, your curiosity growing. He stops at the door to an office, pausing just long enough to glance back at you with a small, knowing smile.
Yoongi opens the door slowly, and you step inside, your eyes immediately drawn to the stunning office around you. The room is sleek and modern, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering a breathtaking view of the city. The walls are adorned with abstract art, and the polished wooden floors reflect the soft glow of the ambient lighting. A large, dark wood desk sits at the center, surrounded by tasteful furniture: a plush leather chair, a couple of armchairs, and neatly organized shelves. The space is both impressive and intimidating, radiating an air of authority.
Yoongi moves carefully around to the other side of the desk, his movements calm but purposeful. He sits down, a smug look playing on his lips, and glances at the title on the desk as if waiting for you to notice. His eyes linger on it for a moment, and you follow his gaze.
Your heart skips a beat when you see the words clearly displayed on the desk's nameplate: Min Yoongi - CEO.
"No way..." you say, your voice barely above a whisper, the disbelief evident in your tone.
Yoongi's smirk widens, clearly enjoying your reaction.
"You're the CEO?" you ask, your eyes still locked on the nameplate. You pick it up carefully, studying it in your hands, as if seeing the title would somehow make it more real.
Yoongi simply nods, his confidence never wavering. "Yep. I'm the one who founded this company."
You set the nameplate back down on the desk, still processing. "How did I never know this?" you ask, a mix of surprise and confusion in your voice as you finally look up at him.
He leans back in his chair, casually folding his arms. "Well... I just didn't feel the need to broadcast it. But you're important to me now," he says, his voice softening slightly, "and I didn't want to keep it a secret any longer."
"So you're the one who founded this company, huh?" you ask, your curiosity piqued.
Yoongi nods, his gaze meeting yours. "You wanna hear the whole story?"
Without hesitation, you nod, eager to know more.
A smile tugs at his lips as he pats his lap, a silent invitation. "Come here."
You walk around to the other side of the desk, and without thinking, you settle onto his lap. His arms wrap around you, pulling you closer. You rest your head on his shoulder, feeling the steady rhythm of his breath as he begins.
"When I was 17 I joined a company to become an Idol." he begins.
"But that didn't last long..." Yoongi continued, his voice tinged with a quiet bitterness. "Training was like living hell for me. Constantly practicing but never being good enough for the CEO there. He would push his idols past their limit, often leading to a burnout... or worse. I kept pushing myself, working every day to become better. I told myself I must since it was easier than being at home anyway."
