Meanwhile, back in Atlanta...

"She is my wife, and I will reclaim her." Sir spewed at his lawyer in the restaurant room they occupied.

"As your legal advice, if you continue with these tactics, we can find ourselves in a legal situation that won't work in your favor. Now, as your friend and us having 15 years of friendship, what is going on with you, man?" The room had an eerie silence, and the ice clanked against Sir Whiskey's glass as he took a sip, letting out a chuckle.

"It isn't anything, Charles; it isn't anything." He sipped his final drop of whiskey, placing it back on the table, reaching for the bottle of whiskey, refilling his glass.

"Cut the shit, man. You are acting erratic, and you've been drinking again. I haven't seen you drinking this much since losing your little boy."

"Man, I—she thinks she can move on and be happy after we both lost our son." Sir downed this whiskey instead of sipping it like he did previously.

"I don't got no drinking problem either. What can I say? I love a good drink every now and then." Sir refills his glass for the third time; Charles reaches for the glass and the bottle and sits them on the other side of the table.

"I hear you, but what I'm seeing is not you, man. You are hurting, man, and you are going about it all wrong. This smear campaign you went on and the drama you've created, ain't you man." Sir reaches for his whiskey glass, but Charles moves it further.

"Leave the fucking whiskey glass alone and talk to me, man. When you lost your son, I was here, and you completely shut yourself off from the world and me. I won't let that happen again. You're fucking up, bro. Real shit." Charles's straight, no-nonsense tone earned not even a reaction from Sir.

"I don't wanna talk, man. I already told you. She can't move on and be happy while my baby is in the ground. That bitch don't deserve it, and if I need to make her life miserable, that's what I'm going to fucking do." Sir pushed his chair back, sending a loud screech throughout the room, and roughly grabbed the bottle, exiting the room.

Taraji POV

"You sure we got everything, babe?" I yell from the en-suite bathroom, grabbing the dry towel to wipe my face.

"Everything is packed, but I'll have the cleaning people check the house before we leave."

Today, we are flying back home, and I wish we didn't have to leave this beautiful country to be caught up in some bullshit. I'm already exhausted over this whole situation, and I don't have the space for it mentally.

I throw off my robe and enter back into the room to put on my clothes.

"Hey babe, are you okay with Dani coming over tonight? Tasia asked me for the corner of the room with her phone in hand.

"I don't mind as long as we don't talk about bald head all night; it's fine by me." Seemingly my statement earned a chuckle from Fantasia.

"I'll be sure to let her know, baby. You ready?" I nod my head.

"I'm not ready to go back, but I have no other choice." I shrug my shoulders.

Fantasia puts her phone down on the bed and walks to
me.

She sits on the bed's edge, grabbing me by the string of my joggers. I land in her lap with her arms around me. I cradle her face close to my chest.

"It can just be us tonight; we don't have to open up our space." I shake my head.
