at the huge mansion of the noctem family.
" young mistress , it's time to wake up " I heard someone call for me
I opened my eyes and found my personal maid above me with her usual stern face.
I smiled " good morning melissa "
" good morning to you too young mistress ,I know it's still early but you have training today, lord louic is also waiting for you at the training ground "
" ahh yes ! I almost forgot ! I can't wait for it !!" I said all excited .
after the kidnnaping , I wasn't allowed to train due to my injuries .
they weren't so bad that I had to rest for this long but mother in law and louic wouldnt let me do a single thing.
no work no training no walking .
finally yesterday, the physician allowed me to get back to work .
" I think you're the only person who would be this excited to train with the lord ,young mistress " melissa said smiling a bit .she helped me wash up .
melissa my new personal maid was quite diffrent from the ones assigned to me at the palace .
she had a calm personality and seemed almost cold at first but she does her work perfectly and cares for me like no one had .
I like her a lot .
" I like to learn new things specially if it's to defend myself ."
as the next duchess I will probably be the first target for louic's enemies ,so I need to be strong !
" I'm happy for you but please dont overdo it " melissa helped me dress up for my training and tied my hair .
" yes dont worry for me . I will go now, have a nice day melissa"
upon arriving on the training ground I saw my fiance from afar his back leaning against a tree with some documents in his hands .
he was probably waiting for me.
looks like he did some exercices too considering the towel on his neck and the sweat on his face .
he sensed my presence and looked up
" good morning jennete " he said calmly almost with a smile .
almost. maybe he is in a good mood .
" good morning louic " I said smiling .
" are you sure you've rested enough?"
" yes! I feel like a tiger " I said with detemination in my eyes
" alright then we will start right away ,if you feel any pain or you cant keep up tell me okay?"
I nodded.
2h later~
I sat on the ground panting heavily ,I still have a long way to go.
I feel like Im dying while louic isnt even tired .
he handed me a towel and some water .
" thank you , you're really incredible louic you know that" I was really impressed .
" its nothing really , I've been training my whole life so that much is nothing."
" I suppose so "
" we have some work to do later , one of the aristocrat is causing trouble and may want to start a revolution ,though nothing is confirmed . we will inspect his mansion in the afternoon ." louic said without a hint of emotions.
