The next morning, Camie got woken up by laughter from the other side of the door. She half opened her eyes and rubbed them when she saw light under the door. Camie turned on her other side and grunted. She suddenly opened her eyes again, wondering what was wrong. Something was missing but she couldn't figure out what.

She extended her hand towards the other side of the bed and noticed that it was empty. Camie immediately sat up, wondering where Théa went. She stretched a bit and opened her door. She followed the voices and went to the living room where Théa was already looking at her. Seeing Camie awake made Théa smile and she immediately greeted her:

"Good morning, Camie."

Camie liked hearing Théa first thing in the morning. Especially when she was saying her name. She would have liked it even more if...

"Camie!"

Camie didn't have time to finish her daydream when she realized that her friends were already there. They jumped up when they saw her and rushed to her side. No one commented on her pajamas fortunately but all three of them started discussing her wounds as if she wasn't there:

"She still looks a bit pale.

-At least her cheeks aren't as purple anymore.

-Have you ever seen purple? She is even swollen.

-Her arm is worse."

Camie felt that things were getting out of hand but she was slowed down because of the sleepiness. Her friends grabbed their bags out of nowhere and started taking things out of it:

"We know that you have trouble accepting gifts but these aren't gifts, don't worry. We didn't pay for any of these so you don't have to feel bad. Our parents gave us these. They are needed for you to get better. And we would be assholes to come see a sick person and not bring something. My parents would be disappointed in me. Here. A cream for your wounds. My mom made it herself. She uses it for her eczema. She said it was perfect to hydrate your skin and avoid scars as much as possible.

-Even if you have scars you will be gorgeous.

-Of course. No one cares about scars.

-Scars are hot.

-Here is a coloring book. I really liked coloring during exams. It was a nice stress relief. I found it in my drawer so I didn't pay for it. Don't worry. I don't use it anymore. I moved on to scrapbooking.

-Speaking of stress, this is a stress relief blanket. I'm sure you will have amazing naps with this. It was mine but I don't use it."

Camie didn't have time to digest what was going on, looking from one friend to the other. Fortunately Théa was there and cleared her throat gently:

"I think Camie still needs time to wake up. Maybe we could sit down and have breakfast together."

Topiary quickly nodded:

"Sorry, Camie! We got too worried.

-We waited for you to eat. Come."

Emma followed Camie quietly to her chair in case she fell on the way before sitting down herself. Just as she sat down, Mister Dred appeared out of nowhere and kissed his daughter on the temple, putting down a tray of cookies in front of her.

"Good morning, little cabbage. Your friends have been here for a little while already. We were waiting for you to wake up so we could eat together."

Camie looked at her father's clothes and frowned:

"Are you going somewhere?

-I am going to leave you young ones alone. I don't want to intrude.

-You aren't intruding, Mister Dred.
