A few days after returning home to Queen Mansion following the mission to Fort Rozz found Oliver and Laurel sitting on the couch, going over the final plans for their wedding, since they'd put it off long enough between Oliver's homecoming, the founding of Team Arrow, the founding of Justice League and everything else, on top of their jobs and raising their daughter, but now it was finally time, since Laurel had already waited about six years now. She wasn't going to wait much longer to be made an honest woman.
"Okay, this is the last of it. Our wedding is officially planned." Laurel said with a grin as she returned from showing the wedding planner out.
"Yep. We've been working on this on and off ever since I got back from the Island and now in just a few short weeks, we're finally going to become husband and wife." Oliver said as Laurel sat down next to him on the couch.
"I know it's tradition that the bride's family usually pays for the wedding, but in this case, we can do so much more if the groom does, since your family does have a lot more money than mine." Laurel said.
"You're a part of this family too, which means that it's your money too. But I agree. You're sure you're okay with all the details, since this is your last chance to make any changes." Oliver said.
"No, I'm perfectly happy with our wedding plans. Sara of course is going to be my maid of honor and Thea, Abby and Sam will be my bridesmaids." Laurel said.
"While John will be my best man with Luke, Barry and Bruce serving as my groomsmen." Oliver said.
"Agreed and of course, Jasmine will be serving as our flower girl and Bruce's son Damien will be the ringbearer." Laurel said.
"I don't like how you're trying to set our daughter up with a boy before she's even hit double digits." Oliver said.
"Hey, it's better that Jasmine has friends her age in this life. It'll make it easier for her growing up. And easier for Damien too, since it can't be easy living in a house of vigilantes. But we don't have to worry about that, since remember, your sister is dating Damien's and considering how serious that is, it's only a matter of time until they're the ones walking down the aisle someday soon." Laurel said.
"And I have no problems with that. Especially since Thea's likely going to become the go to shrink of the Justice League before she becomes an actual member." Oliver said.
"Anyways, there actually is one last detail we didn't talk about. Well more like you steered the conversation away from it every time I tried to bring it up." Laurel said.
"Laurel." Oliver said.
"Your mother. She should be at the wedding." Laurel said.
"And yet her prison sentence won't be up until after our wedding date and she will not let us delay it." Oliver said, since he'd gone to speak with his mother about this very thing a few days ago and Moira had point blank refused to be the reason he and Laurel delayed their wedding.
"I know, but I think there's a workaround." Laurel said.
"What do you mean?" Oliver asked.
"I talked to my dad about it and since your mom has been a model prisoner, he was able to get her a one day pass to attend her son's wedding, since no mother should miss their son's wedding." Laurel said and Oliver grinned as he kissed her.
"Thank you Laurel. You know, Jasmine's with your parents, Yolanda's at her boxing club and Artemis is at cheer practice. We've got the house to ourselves. Not counting the staff." Oliver said with a smile.
"Then what are we still doing down here?" Laurel asked as she and Oliver rushed up to their bedroom.
