"I still can't believe the Devil runs a club here in LA." Abby said as she and Constantine approached the club Lux.
"Yeah. Apparently he got bored running Hell, like 20 years ago or so, he bailed on Hell and the whole Satan thing, so he put the Triumvirate in place downstairs and came here to do whatever the hell he wanted to do. Perks of being the Devil." Constantine said as they got to the club.
"So, are we going to have to look around the place for him, since while I don't mind partying at a nightclub, we don't exactly have time." Abby said.
"Don't worry, I'm pretty sure that every resident of Hell has a sense for when I show up." Constantine said.
"And I'd like you to leave as soon as possible." A British voice said from behind them and they turned to see a man wearing a grey suit with short black hair and eyes that you could just get lost in.
"Long time Lucy." Constantine said.
"Abigail Sawyer, meet Lucifer Morningstar, the devil." Constantine said.
"You're the Devil? Because if so, I think you need to sue the Vatican for how wrong they got your image, since you look much more appealing than the Bible says." Abby said and Lucifer chuckled.
"I've tried, but they don't tend to take you seriously when you say you're the Devil suing the church. But anyways, what brings you two to my club. You, Ms. Sawyer, are welcome, but the bastard with you, well, he's the one guy that I wouldn't want in my club, since he'll bring the demons back here and I'm happy away from those whining bastards." Lucifer said.
"I'm here because I'm calling in the debt you owe me Luci after I helped you out with Maze. You do this, you'll likely never see me again." Constantine said.
"Well then, by all means. Tell me what you want so that I can get out of your debt. As long as it's not to have me get your soul back from Nergal, since you know that I don't get involved in demon deals." Lucifer said.
"I still think that's a load of crap, but no, that's not why I'm here. We're working on a spell, a piece of Enochian magic actually and it calls for the feather of an archangel and you're the most qualified candidate to provide it." Constantine said.
"Enochian magic. Well, I hope Ms. Sawyer is going to be the one to perform the spell, since she's the only one who'd survive performing it." Lucifer said.
"I am, but why are you so sure of that?" Abby asked.
"Because you're my niece." Lucifer said bluntly, shocking Abby.
"I'm sorry, what?" Abby asked.
"Oh yes, I recognized it the moment I saw you. You've got your own set of wings, you just don't know how to use them." Lucifer said.
"You're lying." Abby said.
"No, despite what all the stories say about him, Lucifer doesn't lie. And I admit, I had my suspicions when you were able to read Enochian without any kind of assistance." Constantine admitted.
"Wait, you're saying that I'm an angel?" Abby asked.
"Of course not. I'm saying you're a Nephilim, half-human, half-angel." Lucifer said.
"Are you saying that my mother was an angel?" Abby asked.
"Yes. And not just any angel. Given the vibe I'm getting from you, I'd say you're not just the daughter of an angel, but an archangel." Lucifer said.
"Please tell me it's not you." Abby said.
"No. Unlike gods, we can't just change genders whenever we want. But there is one female archangel. God and Goddess wanted a little diversity in their kids before Dad created the lower ranks." Lucifer said.
"What do you mean? I thought it was just you, Amenadiel, Michael, Raphael and Gabriel." Constantine said.
"We're the well known ones, but our sister preferred to fly under the radar. Her name is Aurora and God created her due to all the war between the rest of us, especially after Amenadiel died. And please never mention my jealous twin brother Michael in my presence again. But anyways, Aurora was the archangel of peace and she was actually one of the only siblings I liked, since she had this vibe about her that made it impossible to hold a grudge. I think she was created specifically to calm the fighting between the archangels after Amenadiel's death. Though she vanished from Heaven years ago. I never knew what happened to her." Lucifer said.
"I still don't believe you." Abby said.
"Really, then haven't you ever wondered why you can perform magic more powerful than any other human?" Lucifer asked as he threw a few punches at Abby, who dodged them all with ease.
"What the hell was that?" Abby asked.
"No mortal could block or dodge those attacks. Only someone with angelic blood could. You may not want to acknowledge it yet, but you do have the blood of an archangel in your veins. And the sooner you accept it, the sooner you'll get your wings. But anyways, as for my debt with you Constantine." Lucifer said as he unfurled his own wings, which actually looked like angel wings instead of the demon wings Abby was expecting and plucked a feather from them.
"Consider my debt paid. Now get lost." Lucifer said as he handed the feather to Abby before shooing them away and going back inside his club.
"You alright luv?" Constantine asked.
"Ask me again when this is over." Abby said, right as a woman came rushing out.
"Got room for one more." the woman asked.
"Who are you?" Abby asked.
"Mazikeen, it's been a while." Constantine said.
"It's Maze to you. And honestly, I'm bored of just partying like this. From what I hear, what you do is a lot more fun. So I want in." Maze said.
"So you, a demon, want to become a demon hunter?" Constantine asked him surprise.
"Eh, more like a consultant. But I miss the action of fighting. I don't get that thrill just serving drinks here." Maze said and Constantine nodded.
"Then I hope that you're prepared to see Nergal, since once we find his bones, that's who we're summoning." Constantine said.
"As long as you let me get a few shots in on him before you send him back to Hell." Maze said.
"Deal. Now let's go. I need to get this over with before I can even try to process the bomb the devil just dropped on me." Abby said.
"Yeah, conversations with Lucifer tend to end that way." Maze said.
