Thomas Blossom was pissed. Everything he'd worked for, everything he'd set in motion was now at risk.
"Well, looks like you're in some deep shit Thomas." his own protege, Ricardo Diaz, said smugly as he walked into Blossom's home office.
"Shut it Ricardo. You may be next in line to run this operation, but you are not on top yet and as long I'm here, you won't be, since you're not ready to take over yet, as I have reminded you on numerous occasions." Thomas said.
"You make a better doctor than you do a crime boss" Diaz spat back, since Thomas Blossom was not just a doctor who abused women. In fact, the whole doctor thing was a cover for his real trade. He was actually the Kingpin of Star City's criminal underworld. There wasn't a single criminal organization in this city that he didn't oversee or have some kind of connection to.
"Careful. I may have taught you much, but I haven't taught you everything I know." Blossom said.
"You taught me enough to be the face of your organization, running its day to day operations while you slink back in the shadows. I can't help but wonder who the underworld really thinks is running the show now." Diaz said, only to be thrust back by Blossom's own magic.
"You were never a match for me, Dragon. After all, the SCPD knows your name and face too. All they know about me is a simple name that they have no way of connecting to me. Arcane. And if you're not careful, they might get a tip that Dragon isn't the only name you go by." Blossom said, since he'd even taught Diaz his own skills in dark magic, but was cautious not to allow his apprentice to become stronger than him.
"Are you forgetting the loss in profits due to Green Arrow taking down Malcolm Merlyn and running his son out of town. We lost a major contributor." Diaz said.
"Which is why we need to find a new one. Reach out to our friend at Stelmoor International. I'm sure she'll be more than interested in a hostile takeover of Queen Consolidated. Once we remove its current head." Blossom said with a grin.
"I like where this is going. What do you have in mind?" Diaz asked with a grin.
"We remove the problem the way we always do after we pretend like we uphold the law. Reach out to the Bertinelli's, the Triad, the Yakuza, and the Los Halcones, tell them that I'm putting hit out on Abby Sawyer, both of her lawyers, the cop who's threatening to squeal on me and Oliver Queen, since taking him out will allow Stellmoor to take over his company and replace our lost income from losing Merlyn Global Group." Blossom said.
"Done." Diaz said.
"What's the status of our attempts to work our way into the Quadrant?" Blossom asked, referring to the largest criminal syndicate in the country.
"Well, they were going fine until the Green Arrow became active." Diaz said.
"What are you talking about? They operate in Gotham and that's Batman's territory and I'd see he's even more dangerous than Green Arrow." Blossom asked.
"But Batman also has rogues like the Joker and Bane to distract him from their enterprises. Green Arrow doesn't. If anything, he's the biggest threat to our operations as it is, considering how much of it he's dismantled. The Bratva has already broken away from us and something tells me that if the Green Arrow discovers what they were involved in, they will rat us out to get him to spare them." Diaz said.
"Then the solution is obvious. Green Arrow already has one rogue in his gallery. Deathstroke. They seem to have a personal animosity towards each other. Much like Batman and Joker. So reach out to Deathstroke, offer him our assistance and see if he can help our cause in return. And don't just stop there. We need to give him more rogues to play with to keep his attention off us." Blossom said.
"I'll see what I can do. It might help if we could bring the infamous Prometheus back to Star City, since he'd certainly help keep Green Arrow busy." Diaz said.
"Agreed. You were a friend of his father's, see if you can find him and lure him back." Blossom said before turning his back to his protege, who glared at it, hating that he was still forced to work under that old bastard who was putting their entire organization simply because he couldn't keep it in his pants. But no matter how much he wanted to get rid of Blossom, Diaz's own dark magic was still years behind Arcane's. He'd learned that the hard way. So he'd have to find another way to take him out. One way or another.
