Green Arrow, Spartan, Katana, Arsenal and Gamble, who was now suited up in his own costume, since this was not a sanctioned Argus op, since while Ava wanted to give it the green light, unfortunately, a mob boss wasn't within Argus's jurisdiction, he was in the purview of the police and the FBI, so he had to resort to Team Arrow's methods. And honestly, since the man had targeted his wife, he was glad he was not bound by the restrictions of his badge.
"What do we call you in the field?" Arsenal asked their new member.
"Call me Shadow Wolf." Gamble said.
"I like it. Now. Let's do this. Remember, aim to injure, do not kill unless you have no other options." Green Arrow said, doing his own version of Batman's code. Killing was a necessary last resort, when there was no other choice, since while he respected Bruce's no killing at all rule, Green Arrow recognized that sometimes it was a necessary evil. But that might just be because he'd been a soldier before he became a hero.
"Good thing I brought rubber bullets. But if I see Bertinelli, I make no promises." Shadow Fox said.
"No, he's mine." Green Arrow growled, since he wanted answers and he would not hesitate to get them. By any means necessary.
"Scanning the building now." Spartan said, using the infrared on his helmet to scan the building.
"What are we facing?" Katana asked.
"More men than our intel says Bertinelli even has. The man himself is holed up in the penthouse on the top floor. The rest of the hotel is crawling with security. He's prepared for war." Spartan said.
"Good, because a war is exactly what he's gonna get." Green Arrow said.
"What's the plan?" Arsenal asked.
"All of Bertinelli's defenses are centered on one thing." Green Arrow said.
"He's expecting us to fight our way through his troops on the ground and working our way up to him." Shadow Wolf said and Green Arrow nodded.
"Which is why we're going to take a page from Batman's playbook." Green Arrow said as he fired a cable arrow from the rooftop they were on to the roof of the hotel, which was minimally guarded with only snipers.
"Did you really think I wouldn't see that move coming kid?" a new voice said and Green Arrow stilled for a second as he turned to see Deathstroke standing there.
"Was wondering if you were still in town, since you haven't made a sound since you worked for Tommy Merlyn. And now you're what, a gun for hire for Frank Bertinelli. You've really fallen even further than I thought." Green Arrow said.
"Revenge isn't cheap and he's more than willing to pay for my services. Besides, we both know that he can't kill you. And I'm not going to. Not yet. I still have plans for you and this cesspool of a city that require you to live to see them. I'm just here because I want the money and I never pass up the opportunity to beat the shit out of you." Deathstroke said.
"Really, because that didn't work so well for you last time we crossed paths. This time I might take out your other eye." Green Arrow said.
"What should we do?" Arsenal asked.
"Take the line, get Bertinelli, we need to question him. Deathstroke is mine and mine alone." Green Arrow said, making it clear that was not a request. It was an order.
"You heard the man, let's do this." Spartan said as he took charge and led the others onto the zipline to the hotel while Green Arrow and Deathstroke charged at each other.
