Abby was currently on her way home from work when she suddenly felt a magical tug in her gut and suddenly, she was spun around to find herself in some weird big mansion.

"Oh god no. Any place but here." Abby complained, since she recognized this place immediately and wanted no part of it.

"Sorry to drag you here love, but I could use your assistance." A male Welsh voice said and Abby turned to see John Constantine walk up to her.

"What the hell did you do now? Trying to get me dragged off to hell with you?" Abby asked, since she felt nothing but disgust for Constantine, since not only was he one of the biggest assholes in all mystic planes, he was also her ex. They'd met through a mutual acquaintance, Doctor Fate and for a while, Abby had moonlighted as a member of Constantine's Newcastle Crew up until he'd started to lose himself to the magic. Not to mention the fact that he'd used an innocent girl's soul as a bargaining chip with a demon and gotten her dragged down to hell and gotten himself damned as well.

"No. Trying to get myself off that list. And maybe even save Astra in the process." Constantine said.

"What do you mean? We both know that once a soul is dragged down to hell, it's stuck there. And it's unlikely that you'll live long enough to atone for everything you've done. Hell, I'm amazed you're still alive as it is with the number of people after your soul, while I just want to kick your ass." Abby said as she slugged him.

"I deserve that. But there is a way to save Astra and my soul." Constantine said.

"Even if you did find Nergal, you know you'd have to choose. No demon does anything for free. The only way he'd consider giving you either is by putting you in a position that screws you over and you better not be planning on leveraging my soul, because I will send you on a one way trip to hell right now." Abby said angrily.

"No, I'm not going to do that. I've already doomed one innocent soul to Hell, I'm not going to do it to another. But I think I found a way to get the magic needed to force Nergal to do what I want." John said and Abby had to admit, her interest was piqued, since while she'd heard rumors about that kind of magic existing, she didn't think that it was within the realm of mortals.

"How?" Abby asked.

"I found a lead on the one thing no demon wants a hunter to find." John said.

"And that would be?" Abby asked.

"Nergal's human bones, since we both know that demons are just ghosts who made really bad choices." Constantine said.

"Are you serious? Demons go to very extreme lengths to hide their human remains to keep people like you from using them against them." Abby said.

"I got a lead on an ancient locator spell, one use only, that can be used to locate the bones of any demon, anywhere on any mystic plane. The only problem is that this is Enochian magic." Constantine said.

"Which you can't perform since your soul is damned and Enochian magic is the magic of heaven. The same kind of magic that powers the amulet of Amenadiel that Celestial draws her power from." Abby said and Constantine nodded.

"Not to mention, the last thing I need is the dicks upstairs catching wind of me trying to use their spells. But you can. You're all good with the choir boys upstairs and you're more than powerful enough to perform the magic." Constantine said.

"And what happens when the Angels come calling, since you know they don't like it when we mere mortals use their magic and I am not going to risk losing my place in Heaven for the likes of you." Abby said.

"I know it's a big ask, but this is a chance to get Astra back. Save her from what I put her through. And I can't do it without you, if I could, I wouldn't be here. But you're the only one who can do it." Constantine said and Abby sighed.

"Do you have the spell?" Abby asked.

"No, unfortunately, the bugger who has it is Richie and you know that he's probably the only human on the planet who hates me more than you." John said.

"Can you blame him considering what you did to him? Also, is there anyone you know that you haven't pissed off?" Abby asked and Constantine considered that for a moment.

"Probably not. But he won't do it for me, but maybe he'll do it for you." Constantine said and Abby sighed, already knowing she was going to regret this as she shifted into her magical gear before letting Constantine drag her into his madness, wondering when he was going to almost get her killed.
