That night Oliver and Laurel had decided to tell the whole family at once at a family dinner, especially since Sara and Ava were in town, so this seemed like the best time to tell everyone in person. And they'd also decided that it was time to tell Quentin the truth about the other half of their lives, since he was literally the only one who didn't know their secrets, since both of their mothers knew and their sisters were actively a part of the life.
Especially since they had no idea how Laurel's pregnancy would affect her powers, since when she was pregnant with Jasmine, it hadn't been an issue since her powers hadn't surfaced yet, but now there was a chance that Laurel's powers could be activated by her pregnancy. Which is another reason why Laurel was insisting that Abby be the doctor who delivered the baby.
Anyways, after all the guests had arrived, meaning Laurel's parents, Sara, Thea, Ava and Helena, since she was basically family already, along with Moira, who was still on house arrest and lived in the mansion with them, but only for another few weeks and she already had her eye on a nice townhouse in the city to move into to allow her son and his family to have the mansion to themselves, along with the kids, Oliver and Laurel sat them all down in the parlor before dinner.
"Alright, you got us all here, what's going on?" Quentin asked his daughter, only to be elbowed by his wife to shut up.
"It's fine mom. It's a fair question. And the reason you're here is because Ollie and I have a big announcement to make. I'm pregnant." Laurel said and to her joy, both mothers jumped up and rushed to hug her.
"Congratulations." Moira said.
"Think you can handle being around for this time bro?" Thea asked her big brother before hugging him.
"Yeah, I think I'll be able to handle it." Oliver said as Artemis and Yolanda hugged their mother next.
"Why is everyone hugging mommy?" Jasmine asked, since she hadn't really been paying attention, preferring to focus on playing with her dolls. Specifically dolls of Supergirl and Black Canary.
"She's acting just like you did when we told you I was pregnant with Sara." Dinah said.
"And Oliver didn't exactly pay much attention when I told him I was pregnant with Thea either." Moira said with a chuckle.
"What's pregnant mean?" Jasmine asked curiously her mother knelt down.
"It means that in about nine months, you're going to be a big sister." Laurel said.
"What?" Jasmine asked.
"It means that mommy is going to have a baby." Oliver said.
"I'm not going to be the baby?" Jasmine asked.
"You're not a baby Jasmine. You're a big girl now." Laurel said gently.
"Will you still play with me after the baby's born?" Jasmine asked.
"Of course we will sweetie. And once the baby's big enough, he or she will be able to play with you two and you'll have lots of fun with them. Just like I did with your Auntie Sara." Laurel said.
"And I did with your Aunt Thea." Oliver said, shooting his sister and mother a look not to say anything about how he was not happy when Thea was born.
"And you'll also have Artemis and I to play with, especially since mom's going to have to slow down a bit the closer to the baby's due date she gets." Yolanda said.
"Not to mention all the time she spends jumping off rooftops." Quentin said, shocking everyone.
"What are you talking about?" Laurel asked and Quentin chuckled.
"I'm a detective Laurel. Did you really think that I didn't know that you're the Black Canary and Oliver's the Green Arrow. I've known since shortly after he started out. Just like how I've known that your mother was the first Black Canary since we got married and I've been waiting for her to tell me when she was ready." Quentin said with a chuckle.
"So you've known this whole time and you never bothered to clue us in?" Oliver asked, honestly amused by all this.
"The excuses you came up with were always entertaining. Though I don't approve of you allowing your kids to go down this path before they're 18." Quentin said.
"The Justice League has a whole program training young heroes like them so that we can supervise them instead of them going all half cocked and getting themselves killed." Oliver said.
"I can understand that. But still." Quentin said.
"Go ahead Yolanda, show him. No more secrets." Laurel said and her daughter nodded as she revealed her claws.
"And don't worry, the team medic has already grounded Laurel from jumping off the rooftops and I'm locking up her suit until after the baby is born. Not taking any chances." Oliver said and Quentin nodded.
"And mom, any tips you have on navigating a pregnancy with the canary cry?" Laurel asked.
"We'll talk." Dinah promised as they continued to talk.
