Despite the fact that her arm was broken, which as far as anyone at school was concerned was due to her crashing her bike, since a car was too cliche and drew too much attention, Artemis still helped out at cheer practice, since she was serving as an assistant coach, though she had assured her coach, Michelle Tucker, that her arm would be healed and she'd be back on the pyramid not only by the time of the big rivalry game between Star City High and Central City High, but also for their next cheerleading competition, since their team didn't just cheer at games, they also participated in cheerleading competitions and they were actually division champions and this year they were going for a national title.

Anyways, while most of the squad had wished Taylor a speedy recovery, one person hadn't. Her main rival on the squad. Taylor Davis. They'd been rivals for years and it had only gotten worse after Artemis had been named captain of the team and she'd been unbearable after her mom was arrested.

At least until Artemis had cracked and told her that she now lived with the richest couple in the city, that had shut Taylor up. Unfortunately, Taylor was the second best member of the squad, so she was temporarily taking Artemis's place while she recovered. Though Artemis could tell that Taylor was in no rush to give her spot back to her when she recovered, since she seemed to be working extra hard to prove to Coach Tucker that she deserved to be cheer captain full time.

Not that it would work, since most of the girls on the squad were Artemis's friends and they all liked and trusted her more than they did Taylor. That was something Taylor didn't understand. Being captain wasn't just about being the best. It was about working well with your team. Something that Artemis had always been good at, whether she was a cheerleader, a basketball player, since she also played on the girls basketball team, or even as an arrow shooting vigilante.

"So, this is what you do after school." Yolanda said as she walked up to her foster sister.

"Hey, how was your first day back at school?" Artemis asked, since Yolanda had been working with a private tutor since she came to live with the Queens to help her catch up on everything she'd missed after she'd been forced to drop out of school, but her tutor had declared that while Yolanda might still need them occasionally, she was ready to go back to regular school, so today had been her first day at Star City High and Artemis had promised to help her sister, especially since she knew how desperate Yolanda was to be accepted by the Queens, since while Artemis knew how much her mom loved her and hopefully, once she got out of prison, Artemis would be allowed to return to her, since while she loved Oliver and Laurel as her foster parents, she did hope that maybe she could go back to living with her mom someday. Yolanda on the other hand, it was clear that she was desperate to be accepted by the Queens as their legally adopted daughter, since they were more of a family to her than her biological family ever was.

"It was fine, though it felt kind of weird to be back here after living on the streets for years." Yolanda said.

"I bet. But hey, at least now you get to be a teenager again. You thinking about joining the squad?" Artemis asked her foster sister.

"No, cheerleading is not my thing. Boxing is my sport of choice." Yolanda said.

"I respect that. Still, you could've just gone home after school, you don't have to wait for me." Artemis said.

"Actually, while I wouldn't normally ask you to do this, I have a favor to ask." Yolanda said as she looked over at the pyramid, specifically at Taylor and Artemis got the picture.

"She's giving you a hard time?" Artemis asked, since she wouldn't put it past Taylor to do that.

"I believe one of her favorite nicknames for me today is Dumpster girl. Apparently the fact that I was taken in by the Queens too doesn't mean anything to her, since she gave me plenty of trouble about my family." Yolanda said.

"How does she know about that? All those records are sealed and private and there's no way a 16 year old girl could get their hands on them." Artemis said, since while her being taken in by the Queens had been on the news with her mother's arrest, Oliver and Laurel had kept all records regarding Yolanda's fostering sealed and private.

"I don't know. I guess she has her ways, but she's decided that since I'm the new girl, she needs to make my life hell and I'm close to clawing her head off. Literally." Yolanda said.

"Say no more. By the time I'm done with Taylor, she'll be lucky to still be on the squad." Artemis said, since Yolanda was her sister and no one messed with her family.
