Quick note, I'm changing the actor who's playing Bruce Wayne from Jensen Ackles to Gabriel Macht and the actress who plays Selina Kyle is now Sarah Rafferty. I'm sure at least some of my readers will know why.
Green Arrow and Deathstroke were still locked in combat, neither one of them giving ground.
"We were brothers once." Deathstroke reminded him.
"Once. Then you tried to kill me repeatedly." Green Arrow reminded him as he swung his bow to clash against Deathstroke's sword.
"You killed Shado." Deathstroke said.
"Stop using her to justify your madness. Was it the mirakuru that did this, or were you always this insane?" Green Arrow asked as he used a move Tatsu had taught him to steal Deathstroke's sword from him.
"Clever. You've clearly learned some new tricks." Deathstroke said.
"And he's got back up." a new voice said as they both turned to see Batman standing on the rooftop.
"Why am I not surprised you decided to crash this party?" Green Arrow said to his friend.
"Because the bastard messed with my daughter too. Besides, you're not the only one with a history with this guy. Mine's just not as personal." Batman said.
"Let's do this." Green Arrow said as Deathstroke pulled out his other sword.
"Two on one, I like my chances." Deathstroke said.
"So do we." Green Arrow said as he and Batman charged at Deathstroke, who responded with just as much ferocity as they clashed, since Batman had brought his own blade to the party, since he'd been trained by the League of Shadows in his early days and of course, he had his own sword with the hilt shaped like a bat while Green Arrow used the sword he'd stolen from Deathstroke to fight one of his deadliest enemies as the three of them engaged in an intense battle, all three of them equally matched in skill, Deathstroke being skilled enough to match both of his opponents with one blade and in addition to the mirakuru strength, he was also being fueled by his anger at his opponents, since Green Arrow and Batman were the two people in the world he hated more than anything.
"You can't beat us Slade. Not together." Green Arrow said as he managed to knick Deathstroke's armor with enough force to actually damage it and that was saying something considering how heavy duty it was.
"You overestimate your skills, kid. Like always." Deathstroke said as they fought, sparks flying as their blades clashed, all of them of them moving perfect sync, every time Deathstroke moved to try to kick and punch one of his opponents, they skillfully dodged and whenever Green Arrow or Batman tried to fake a strike at him so that the other could land a blow, Deathstroke was somehow able to recover and block just quickly. It honestly felt like they were doing some kind of dance.
But the longer the fight went on, angrier Slade got and that rage began to cloud his focus, which was exactly what both Green Arrow and Batman, since now that Slade was getting sloppy, he was making mistakes, which they were capitalizing on, which resulted in Green Arrow getting a lucky shot in that actually managed to crack Deathstroke's helmet to reveal his one good eye through it.
"Give it up Slade. You're already beat." Green Arrow snarled.
"Not yet, I'm not kid. I'm not beat until I'm dead and you tried that once, and yet here I am." Deathstroke said.
"We'll see about that." Batman said as he kicked Slade back.
"And you never had the guts to do what was necessary. At least Green Arrow had that killer instinct before you got to him." Deathstroke snapped as they continued to fight, right before Green Arrow saw an opening and used it to bring his sword down on Deathstroke's right hand, severing it off completely, meaning he was unarmed, since his sword had been in his right hand, allowing Batman to knock him on his back.
"You're done Slade." Green Arrow said.
"Go on, do it. Kill me. You know you want to." Slade roared as Batman pulled his ruined helmet off.
Green Arrow held the sword at Deathstroke's throat, trying to resist the urge to kill him.
"Don't do it. Don't let him corrupt who you are and what you stand for. You're not the kind of hero who kills someone in cold blood." Batman said.
"But you know that killing me is the only way your family will ever truly be safe from me." Deathstroke reminded him as Green Arrow moved his sword from Deathstroke's throat and while both Deathstroke and Batman thought they knew what was going to happen, Green Arrow knocked his former friend out with the butt of the sword.
"Gamble, call Ava, tell her I've got a special gift for her." Green Arrow said to their Argus contact.
"Will do, and Spartan and I have secured Bertinelli. Where do you want him?" Gamble asked.
"Give him to the police. I'll stop by later to question him." Green Arrow said, since Detective Lance had let him do that before occasionally and this was another circumstance he needed to do it again.
"Got it." Gamble said.
"Thanks for the help." Green Arrow said to his fellow league member.
"Anytime. Besides, I owed you for Red Hood." Batman said as the two friends shook hands.
