THE SHADE
They didn't talk behind your back
Since, they are strong and brave as rock
They spit thorns and toxic chemicals
While smiling in front of your face like oblivious rascals
They utter words while laughing – so proud
No matter how hidden, you heard the disrespect was so loud
Behind the evil grins you witness
The best wishes was actually destress
You're smiling but deep within you saw
How they painted the canvas, so raw
You're not blind to not see the shade
You're not deaf to not hear the angels' singing fade
Another home was lost
Trust is what it cost
They throw a shade towards the wrong person
This time you have a reason
