The Commander blocked a clamp flying at his body and crashed into the walls of the ravine with a sharp crack. He was unscathed, but the crystal he rammed into was absorbed and washed his armor with a blue sheen.
He practically warped forward in a wisp of light as he retaliated with his own violent punch.
Streams of black and blue flew around the ravine amidst the darkness, sparks flying and illuminating the dormant crystals along the walls as the two traded blows to break one another's guard.
With the Commander's superior mobility, he raced around the clamp flying at his armor, zipping around in a streak of light that Behemoth was nearly blinded by.
She had seen prior that his armor couldn't keep up that level of speed and power, so she tucked her clamps to her side and blocked the pelting of fists across her guard.
The Commander smirked seeing the defensive play against his onslaught and leapt off her clamps with a grin, a burst of smoke erupting from his armor as it revert to its limited form.
Behemoth looked up and watched him flash down in another blur, his sword drawn and slashing.
She twirled aside and threw her clamps to the wall to slow her descent, watching the blazing slash tear through the ravine and create a devastating cleave through the wall.
The Commander was forced to call Avalon back as Behemoth snatched his waist with a clamp and slammed him into the wall. Sparks ground against him and the clamp as he was dragged across the ravine before being thrown further down with a giggle.
He didn't bother catching himself or slowing down seeing Behemoth use the same wall to launch herself down after him with a half-lidded leer.
He dodged the swipe at his legs and flipped over the second at his body, kicking Behemoth's head down and hovering overhead.
There was no need for words. This was their communication. The brawl was all the talk they needed.
The two had a read on each other.
The Commander wanted power and strength to gain control of his life and the world.
Behemoth was lonely soul who walked a path she couldn't see the end of, longing for a life well-lived alongside a proper family.
The two could coalesce, but not before finding their resolve.
The Commander slammed down, his foot crashing into the clamps and pinning them to the wall. Fire erupted from the sparks this time, forcing Behemoth to jerk away and use her own arms for once to swing at the Commander.
He leaned aside and pressed his palm with a click.
His own stream of fire sent her barreling back towards the wall and began incinerating her on both fronts.
With a buck of her body, Behemoth tackled him and sent the two fumbling down the other side until he kicked off and crashed through a strand of crystals connecting the ravine.
