Vaupus, a compound that can end the cycle of a Nikke's immortality. It destroys the back information sequence that preserves the memory and knowledge kept within a Nikke's brain.

Rapi, in a foreign way, had come into contact with Vapaus, allowing for her memories to be retained during a memory wipe issued by the Central Government.

After discovering these facts, The Commander was issued a joint operation with Nikke Team Absolute to find Heretic Fragments from Absolute's previous encounter with them.

Eunhwa, Emma, and Vesti stood across from Rapi, Anis, and Neon.

The Commander was behind his team and ignoring the small stare down between them to check his phone for the contents of his mission.

"Little bit crowded, don't ya' think?" Anis muttered.

"If it bothers you so much, feel free to leave." Eunhwa spat back immediately.

"Oh! Can I?" Anis turned to the Commander who was already shaking his head as he scrolled through the briefing he was sent. "Fine..." she replied with a sigh.

"I don't get it. Why does Absolute have to babysit a third-rate squad like this sorry bunch?" Eunhwa wondered, turning to her team.

"Third-rate? Three is higher than one and two, right?" Neon whispered to Anis.

"Yes, absolutely!" Anis nodded with a smile.

"Shut up, you idiots." Eunhwa snapped hearing Anis cheery tone.

"Takes one to know one." Neon replied with a smirk.

"Yes, absolutely!" Anis repeated with a shared smirk.

Eunhwa grit her teeth and clicked her tongue, before hearing Vesti giggle behind her. "Are you finding all this amusing?" She asked her with a glare.

"Er, uh... no, sorry." Vesti answered quickly fixing her posture with a frown.

"There's no babysitting involved. This is a joint operation. We will operate." Rapi interrupted, staring at Eunhwa.

"Joint operation? Look at you all- you can't possibly think you're on our level." Eunhwa reasoned, rudely gesturing to the gang before her eyes fell on the Commander, who was still reading.

"Steady now, we mustn't judge a book by its cover. We're doing Ingrid a personal favor here, so if you keep acting up I'll have to report you." Emma responded, making Eunhwa scoff.

Anis' smirk grew catching wind of the reserved nature she displayed when the higher ups were involved. "Interesting, mention the boss and grumpy pants over here clams right up." She teased.

"Listen, you walking junk heap- Just because I entertain your idiocy doesn't mean we're equals. Not even close." Eunhwa responded by taking a step towards her with her fists balled.

"You oughta watch your damn mouth, or the boss hears about your potty mouth!" Anis barked.

Suddenly, Eunhwa equipped her rifle and fired at Anis feet- but a second bullet was fired directly past Eunhwa's head.

Everyone looked at Anis' feet to see tendrils of smoke waving in the air, and followed to see that a thread of Eunhwa's hair was falling to the ground.

They glanced at the Commander and saw he was aiming a handgun at her without even looking, listening to Shifty give him details they missed in the notes he was sent.

Impressed by his response time and aim, making the bullet whizz by as close as possible to show he had the capability to respond to any threat she posed.
