With everyone recovered and reconvened at the Commander's position, he smiled seeing Grave healthy among his ranks.
"Well, everyone. Our goal is to retrieve Cinderella's specialized weapon, Glass Slippers. Then, with full confidence, we'll revive her too." He smiled at them. "You ready?"
"Set to go, Commander." Anis flashed a grin and thumbs up.
Rapi and Guilty silently acknowledged his command and readied their weapons.
Nihilister looked over her gauntlets and sighed, ready for action but envious of Behemoth's mechanical clamps since her own appendages were gone.
"Eunhwa, the mission parameters have changed. Is that okay?" Vesti wondered.
Looking at her, it was clear she had her grievances with how things had progressed, but with the new Commander she was coming to know, she didn't have many objections.
"The final say on any decisions made on the field rests with the Commander. Therefore, there is no issue with any of this."
Emma shrugged. "I can't say I'm entirely comfortable with it though. It's awfully risky to awaken someone whom you're not even sure is a Heretic or not."
"A bridge we'll cross when we get there." The Commander replied with a smirk.
"Take it from me. My reservations are plenty, but his track record is much more vast and valuable." Eunhwa reasoned.
Emma and Vesti were taken aback by her newfound trust in him, but it was easily infectious.
"Woah. Don't tell me she's on the list of infatuated Nikkes now too..." Anis groaned.
Eunhwa slowly turned her leer in her direction. "What on earth would give you that impression, rust bucket?"
"Listen, I'm just telling you to choose your interest wisely. It's hard enough with all the competition around." Anis shrugged with a thin scowl.
Emma giggled, her lips curling at the claim. "That's true."
Vesti seemed frozen, but stuttered out: "R-Right."
The Commander merely rubbed his nape in confusion. How did the mission briefing start involving his love life...
"Anyway," Rapi cleared her throat to regain everyone's attention. "As well as we fended off Behemoth before, she was relatively unscathed by our onslaught earlier. Her defensive capabilities are unlike anything we've seen before, and her clamps are likely stronger than all of us."
"There's also if she chooses to transform. Not that it'd matter." The Commander added.
"Avalon," Grave called out. "What... happened with your arm?"
