MY FINAL NOTE:

This book began with an itching, aching need to write about this woman, the heroine of Mahabharatha I have admired, adored, respected, revered and looked up to for years. From the moment I knew Mahabharatha I have loved Draupadi.

This book began on June 6 2024 and has ended on October 21 2025.

As I write this I am in tears. I have completed this piece of work that I have worked so hard to write. This would be a dream to younger me.

On this journey, I can see how much I have improved and become better of a writer. I have learnt so much, from this. I have explored so many emotions and I have fallen in love with my characters, argued with them, mourned them, and finally — learned to let them go.

This book is my love letter to Draupadi — and to every woman who has ever been called too much, too fierce, or too alive.

There are many people I must thank.

But first and foremost, thankyou god for giving me this need and desire to write. Thankyou Lord Krishna for being there for me, thankyou Goddess Saraswati for guiding my hand, for whispering words when I had none.

A big thanks to varsh1907 who has been with me since the beginning of this journey. Thankyou so much, you have helped me in so many ways throughout this journey. I cannot be grateful enough, at times your single comment was my driving force of motivation to continue this book.

A big thanks to all my readers.

I hope I have done justice to her.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:

Hello. I write under the name Maanasarovar, which the internet defines as 'Lake Manasarovar is not a tributary of another river; rather, it is considered the source of four major rivers: the Sutlej, Indus, Brahmaputra, and Karnali.'

I am a talented public speaker both in tamil and english and a rather decent actor when dramatics call for it. I am also a Bharatanatyam dancer and completed my arangetram in May 2025 — one of the most defining moments of my life.

I read a lot, like a lot. I always have a book at hand. My favorite books are 'As long as the lemon trees grow' by Zoulfa Katouh, 'The Midnight Rider' by John Hiatt Harlow and 'The Hunger Games' by Suzzane Collins. My comfort reads are Jenny Han's 'To All the Boys I've Loved Before' trilogy and Going Home by Harriet Evans.

I write — a lot. Poetry, stories, fragments of emotion that somehow turn into sentences.

I'm a deeply religious Hindu and I absolutely love our gods.

My favorite word is Soul and my favorite feeling is Happiness and Love.

I like to refer to myself as a mosaic. The dictionary defines the word mosaic as 'A mosaic is a pattern or image made of small regular or irregular pieces of colored stone, glass or ceramic, held in place by and covering a surface.'

I am a hopeless romantic but a cynic realist. I overthink a lot and my resting face is a little sad.

I am an extremely passionate person. I work really damn hard when I want something.

I fall in love with details.

I completely believe in love, as much as I would like to believe that love is something that only exists in stories and movies.

So I believe in epic soul-crushing love but I don't believe in it's existence for me.

I love the epics- Ramayana and Mahabharatha. I love the tamil  language.

I have a string of loneliness present with me always, like an undercurrent under my spine even when surrounded by people.

I half fall in love with everyone I meet and a single compliment or an act of kindness directed at me or someone else is enough for me to think that they are one of the most amazing people on Earth.

People often call me mature. I'm not sure if that's true, but I hope it is. What I do know is that I try to be good. I have a kind heart, and I work hard for the things I love and the people I care about.

So yeah that's who I am.
