(Will's P.O.V)
Sitting down on the couch, I looked at the time. 6pm. Caitlyn should be coming to see me in a bit. As I heard my phone, I smiled. It was Alex. We had been seeing each other for a while. Being at her friend's wedding was lovely. She seemed so comfortable when she was around people who she trusted. There was something that she did.. I was concerned about it.

But, I didn't want to bring it up. We were still getting to know each other. Making a cup of tea, I smiled. I hadn't been this happy since I asked Connie to marry me. We had the girls. Our jobs were stable. I loved her very much. Then, about eight years in, we found out that she was ill. I nursed her for a few months.

It was a devastating time for me, my parents and my daughters. I had therapy. The girls were about ten and eight years old. I didn't know what to do at the time. My parents helped a lot. Then, my brother and sisters decided to intervene. I felt so low.

Battling with my own mind was exhausting. Then as I got help, things started to become a lot better.

Hearing the doorbell, I walked towards the front door.

"Hello." Alex was so beautiful. As I let her in, she took her shoes off. "Wow. Your apartment is stunning." Thanking her, we went into the kitchen. "What would you like to drink?"

As she sat at the table, she said a glass of water.

"Okay. So, how was your day?" She then spoke freely. I wanted her to feel comfortable when she was spending time with me.

"Well, dealing with lots of clients is difficult, but the job is so draining at times. But, I love it. I'm also trying to get used to being a single parent. Teenage boys are so up and down at times." Sitting opposite her, I asked her questions. She answered at her own pace.

"I have a sister. Her name is Lexi. She's twenty three." As I listened to her, I felt myself gazing. She had such a good energy about her.

"She loves art. She likes to help others as well. She's been with her boyfriend for about five years now.' I just smiled. I loved listening to her talk. "We were close when both of us were teenagers. She was more of a rebel. She would go out and not come home. Mom would sit up and worry a lot. I followed the rules." As I went to get another drink, I asked her if she wanted anything to eat.

"Urm, I'm okay for now. Thankyou. You're very kind."

Smiling at her, I just gazed. 'What do you love about your job?' I looked at her. I had been a psychiatrist for about seven years. 'I love the fact that I get to help people. Just hearing them talk about what I can do is great. It makes me happy to know that I am there to help them.' As he went to check on the food, I heard my phone.

It was my mom. She was asking if I was alright. Texting her back, Will then asked if I wanted to watch tv or something.

"I'm actually okay. I'm enjoying just talking to be honest. Thankyou."

Smiling, I went to make another drink. It felt peaceful.

'So, where would you like to go on holiday one day?'

Facing her, I just listened to her. Sipping my tea.

"I would love to head to France. Maybe just go and sightsee. And try new foods." I said that sounded good.

"I think just travelling with my sons would be lovely. We spent so long in survival mode. I just want to make sure that both of them are alright."

Looking at the time, I sat down. "Maybe I should get going. You need sleep." Standing up, we just gazed at one another. The feeling was there. A good sense of energy was lingering between us.
