Dumbledore managed to convince you and Severus that the dark lord would return so you both kept your positions at Hogwarts.
Years later Harry is 11 years old and you and Severus have now been together for over a decade and within that time have been married. Now you are silently guiding Harry through his year to year run ins with the different types of evil the wizarding word has to offer while doing your best to protect him from afar.
