Meeting Anubis

Patricia's POV

Today was the day we brought CJ home from the hospital, everyone was staying at Anubis house for the summer instead of going home so they could help out and get to know her, so she would be coming home to a massive crowd of people she has never met before. Jerome and Joy were the only ones who had already met CJ, no one else came to make sure she wasn't overwhelmed and strangely enough it had brought them closer together, now they never argued at all. Eddie's mom, nan and Sister were catching a plane to England next week to come meet the newest member of the Miller family, Cara-Jane Anne Miller, we had gave her the middle name Anne as it was also mine, we thought it could be quite cute!

My parents didn't really care about meeting their grandchild, they were to busy writing some boring historical book together to even ring and ask her name, that was typical for my parents. Luckily Jerome's mum Beth (the women who raised me as her own from the house next door.) was catching a train this evening and would be here in the morning to meet CJ who was practically a granddaughter to her.

Right now I was sat in the back of Mr Sweet's rusty old car with CJ sleeping peacefully in her car seat, Eddie was sat in the passengers seat next to Sweetie, the two of them were talking about something cute CJ did, who knows what it was? She did so many cute things, including pouting while she slept like a moody teenager, she was only a week old and already we could tell she would turn out just as stubborn as me, just as sneaky as her father, and completely attitude full like the both of us!

We pulled up outside Anubis house to banners saying 'its a girl.' and homemade ones saying 'welcome to Anubis Cara-Jane' i think everyone may be excited to see her.

Eddie and I had decided that CJ's godparents would have to be people really close to us, two boys and a girl, Jerome, as he was like a brother to me and risked his life for mine, i trusted him more than anything. Fabian, ad he was Eddie's room mate and had always been a loyal friend and Joy, as she was my best friend, i trusted her with all of my secrets, now I trust her with my daughter too!

Eddie opened the car door on CJ's side and pulled her out of the car, Mr Sweet opened my door for me, giving me his hand for me to take, helping me pull my heavy feeling body out of the car. We walked slowly into Anubis House, Eddie still carrying CJ, and into the front room where pink balloons and more 'its a girl' banners hung limply on the walls. The whole house was there, including Victor who stood awkwardly by a low hanging set of balloons.

"Hi." I addressed them casually.

"What's up?" Eddie asked as if nothing had happened and he wasn't holding our new-born daughter in his arms.

"Can we meet her?" Trudy asked smiling sweetly at us. I took CJ out of her car seat thing and held her close, supporting her head as everyone formed a line. They didn't hold her yet, we didn't want her to be mauled by everyone.

First in the line was Fabian. I walked over to him as CJ woke up. "CJ this is your uncle Fabian." i told her, all Anubis house members would be known as aunties and uncles as that was how we felt about them. Fabian stroked her face with his index finger, murmuring to her kindly.

Second in line was Nina. "This is auntie Nina." i told CJ, Nina smiled at her and said hi.

I did the same thing for all them, moving from Nina to Mara then to Jerome, Alfie, Amber, Trudy, Joy then Victor who I addressed as 'Grumpy Victor' urning me a disheartening look. Although he did take quite a liking to her, maybe Victor would go soft now there was a cute little pink skinned baby around.
