A/N - so i'm in a very creative mood today...another chapter for you all, hope this makes up for being a bit bad at uploading longer chapters recently. Enjoy :D

 Amber’s POV

I was on the phone to my daddy.

“Daddy that’s amazing but …”

“But what sweetie?”

“…I can’t leave Anubis house, I have friends here, a life.”

“You could have a new life at fashion school Amber, besides, we would be closer, you would be doing what you love.”

“What about Alfie?”

“If he loves you then he will let you go.”

“I suppose…”

“Just talk to everyone about it darling, I have to go. I love you.”

“I love you too daddy.”

Then he hung up.

This was such a mess, I only applied for fashion school for the experience, so I could make a portfolio, I didn’t know they would want me to go there, and on a full scholarship. How could I say no? I had to tell Alfie, get his opinion.

I walked awkwardly into his room, him and Jerome were talking about some lame zombie movie Alfie made me watch last night. Like I said, LAME.

“Can we help you dear lost Amber?” Jerome asked condescendingly.

“I need to talk to Alfie so leave. Please.” I only added the please after getting an eyebrow raise but Alfie, he wanted me to get on with Jerome, they were best friends after all. But I would always think of Jerome as the doofus who cheated on Mara. Jerome finally left the room swiftly, leaving me walking silently towards Alfie’s bed and sitting on the edge. He was cross-legged in the middle.

“What is it Ambs? It’s not like you to be quiet.”

“I got offered a full scholarship to that fashion school over in New York. To start next week.” He told him, I figured out that giving out bad news was just like taking off a plaster… painful? Annoying? Gross? I forgot where I was heading with that simile, or was it a metaphor? What the difference?

“Oh…So you’re going?” He asked.

“Don’t know yet.” I told him honestly. “I want to go but…”

“but what?” he cut in “Whats stopping you?”

“I don’t want to leave you here.” I answered.

“Amber, I don’t want to be the guy that has the pressure of stopping you from reaching your dreams. You have to go, it’s an amazing opportunity. You can’t pass it up.” He told me, I could see the pain in his eyes when he said it. He didn’t want me to go. It was cute that he would lie to me to let me get my dreams.

“Thanks Alfie, I knew I kept you around for a reason” I joked, he knew how much I loved him, although I hate to admit it. “I’m going to go.” I had made up my mind. Fashion school it is.
