Sappy goodbye

Patricia's POV

Another sappy and tearful goodbye was going down as we speak, today was Amber's last day. Everyone was in tears - except me, Jerome and Eddie - saying goodbye to our beloved blonde ditz of a housemate. She had worked her way down everyone saying tearful goodbye after tearful goodbye, even I had formed a tear, I had known Amber since we were eleven and I made her go in the haunted house at the mop near our house, she cried for hours after that. She just had me and Alfie left.

“I’ll miss you Patricia, I will have nobody to throw water at me at fashion school.” She said tearfully as she approached me.

“Eh. I’m sure you will find someone to do it.” I said, then I started to cry slightly – only slightly.

“Here come the waterworks” Eddie noted.

“What?” Amber asked him confused. “I’m British Eddie, I don’t get your jokes.”

“Stupidity leak amber.” I said, knocking gently on her head.

“Don’t change Patricia. Ever.” She said, hugging me tightly.

“Believe me, I won’t, don’t you change either. A little too tight there amber.” I told her.

“oops sorry.” She apologised, releasing me from her hug. “You could maybe change your clothes though.”

“Goodbye Amber.”

Then she moved on to Alfie.

I never realised how much I would miss her.

When she had gone we all stood there in silence until Jerome took a sobbing Alfie back to the house to Trudy’s cookies, made especially to cheer up Alfie. The rest of us started to follow them back, except Willow, who stood still.

“You coming Willow?” Joy asked her.

“I’m just going for a walk, I will meet you back at the house.” She told us, skipping off in the opposite direction to the house.

“Odd.” Joy noticed.
