In my head, of course. That would be wayyyy too embarrassing to squeal in front of Issa.
He just put his arm around me!!!!!! I'm smiling. Not in my head. I'm so happy! But why me? Of all girls in the world, why me? He's an adult! And I'm still just a "kid".
My giggle comes out before I can stop it, and Issa laughs.
"Looks like you're enjoying yourself," he says, and I blush.
"Yeah..." I answer softly. "Did you have fun?"
"Yeah, I had a lot of fun. When should we get going?"
"I don't know. Whenever's comfortable for you. My curfew is midnight, so we have plenty of time."
"We can go to the movies." Issa smiles at me as I look up at him.
I smile back. "Sure."
