"Be yourself someone's going to love that"

We spend our lives believing love will find us,
and when it does, we sometimes think
we must compromise who we are
to keep it alive.

But real love doesn't ask you to disappear.

It asks you to be patient,
to be understanding,
to listen when words are difficult,
and to have faith
that two imperfect people
can face the impossible together.

We were taught that an ego is strength,
that holding everything inside
means we are unbreakable.

But perhaps strength
was never about standing alone.

Perhaps strength is sitting beside someone,
letting your shoulders finally drop,
taking that long, quiet breath
you didn't realize you were holding.

And maybe, just maybe,
a single tear finds its way down your cheek.

Not because you are broken.

Because for once,
you feel safe enough
to let yourself be seen.

That is when you understand:

Love didn't ask you to become someone else.

It simply gave you permission
to finally be yourself.
