Chapter 39 - PRIDE

MIA'S POV

Weaving my way towards the group of scrambling students at the corridor, I saw Julianna at her locker. I wanted to know why Terrence ended up with her at the cafeteria last week. Hindi naman sa aawayin ko siya pero itatanong ko lang kung bakit magkasama sila at kung bakit siya ang dahilan ng pag-uwi ni Terrence ng gabi.

Na-sense niya siguro kung ano ang itatanong ko sa kanya. She sighed and closed her locker after stuffing her bag with afternoon books.

"Julianna"

"Yes, Mia?"

"Pwede ba kitang tanungin?"

"Jump to conclusions Mia, alam ko nagalit ka sa akin tungkol kay Terrence"

"Well, hindi naman sa galit ako pero bago pa kayo nagkita ni Terrence, nadaanan mo ako sa chapel"

"I know. And I'm Sorry for ruining your moment"

She placed her hand into my shoulder.

"Wala man akong sapat na dahilan para sirain yung lunch date niyo to be honest, I still like him. Sorry, If you want me to stay away from him, I'll do it."

"Well, sorry but I have to agree with your proposal about staying away from my boyfriend. Pero magkaibigan pa rin tayo"

"God, Mia ang bait mo talaga. Akala ko mawawalan na ako ng kaibigan dito sa school. Don't worry I'll make it up to you. Pagbabatiin ko kayo ni Terrence"

"You don't have to, Julianna. Problema namin to"

"Pero ako nagsimula"

"Its okay. As long as you don't do it again, vibes na vibes tayo"

"*sighs* I'm so lucky to have you"

Bell rang signalling us for the next period after lunch. After the fight Terrence and I had a fight, we never really talked. Hindi na rin kami nagpapansinan. Kahit gustong-gusto kong makipagbati sa kanya, hindi mangyayari na ako ang unang susuyo. Aba, Swerte siya. Siya na yung nang boycot sa akin nung lunch ako pa ang magso-sorry? Hindi naman tama yun. Sabihin niyo ng palabawan ng pride, la akong paki.

Making my way to Room 206, nagkasalubong kami ni Terrence. Speaking of the cute devil, he looked at me and smiled. I ignored him and kept walking to Room 206.

"MIA!"

Sumigaw siya, not caring if he's going to disturb the two classes near the corridor. I still ignored him. Sht. Bakit ba ang layo ng Room 206? Room 203 palang ako.

"MIA, I MISS YOU!"

I admit it, kinilig ako sa sinabi niya na namimiss niya na ako. Words that filled my ears, heart and not to mention making my cheeks turn it to a pink rosy color. I blushed. I continued walking and still, I ignored him.
