~ TWENTY-SIX YEARS LATER ~

"Mom!" Zelda called, "We're putting the dress on! Come help!"

As I turned the corner, I saw my little girl holding up a dress around her, her best friend behind her, helping get it on.

"I'm coming," I said, running over by Allie, Zelda's best friend since fourth grade.

Once her dress was on, she turned and looked at me. I couldn't help the tears that were in my eyes, seeing my baby all grown up.

It was hard enough watching Lucas get married, but now I was watching my little girl get married. I was watching my youngest get married. She was the baby, and now she was grown up.

I didn't let any years escape, though.

Allie ran off to get the other bridesmaids and I sighed, looking Zelda up and down.

"You're beautiful, little bean," I said. She was stuck with that nickname since the womb.

"Thanks, Mom," she said, extending her arms to me.

As I hugged her, I was reminded that all of the kids got Bobby's height gene, and I would always be the shortest one.

"Mom?" She said softly.

"Hm?"

"When you married Dad... were you... nervous?" She asked.

"It's normal to be nervous," Bobby's voice came from behind me, scaring me a little. "I know I was. But I had nothing to be nervous about, and you don't either."

Zelda nodded, walking to Bobby and giving him a hug.

"You look beautiful, honey," he said.

"Thank you, Dad," she said.

"We should get going!" Allie called.

Zelda nodded, and we all made our way into the church area.

I stood in the front, patiently awaiting everything with Mark, Lucas, Ness, Sarah, Lauren, Melissa, and Maria around me.

In a matter of minutes, Here Comes the Bride was being played and I saw Bobby and Zelda start down the aisle.

I took a deep breath, mesmerized by my beautiful daughter as she made her way down the aisle on what would be one of the best days of her entire life.

Before I knew it, she was at the front of the church, tears in her eyes, next to her almost-husband, Drew. Bobby came next to me, putting his arm around me softly and taking a deep breath. I felt my heart rate quicken as I grew nervous, and immediately wondered if it was normal for the mother of the bride to be nervous.

I'll spare the details of the ceremony. To sum it up: There were many tears, there were many cute things said, there were songs played, and there were vows exchanged. Now my daughter, my youngest child, my baby, was married. She was no longer a Plizak, and it was a little hard to comprehend.

Sure, she hadn't been living with us for the last five years, and sure, she wasn't directly associated with us every day anymore, but it felt like we were just now giving her up. It felt like we were only now sharing her, when in reality we'd been doing it forever. We'd been sharing her with Drew's family since she was a senior in high school, but it was still hard. It was another little reminder that our babies had all grown up, that this was it. They weren't babies anymore, and soon enough they'd have babies of their own.

Zelda had asked me to sing With Love for her and Bobby during the father-daughter dance, but I knew I wouldn't be able to get through it without crying. Because of that, they were playing a live audio of With Love.
