"Lucas, which way do you wanna go first?" I asked.

"That way," he pointed to the right, and Bobby and I followed.

Ness started acting up, and I put him in the stroller. I moved the bag to the bottom part of the stroller and we continued walking, now me holding Lucas's hand and Bobby pushing the stroller.

I could already see people watching us as if we were the animals at the zoo. It wasn't an intimidating type of watching, more like a curious type. Like they were all wondering what we were doing there.

We continued walking, and not after two minutes we saw our first animals - the monkeys. Lucas immediately ran up to the glass, gazing in at them in awe.

After a few seconds of just looking in, he turned around and said, "Mama! Daddy! Look! Look!" and started pointing at the glass.

Right as he called for us to look in, Ness decided he should look in, and I thought that maybe he wouldn't be fussy all day. He silently gazed in, and I then worried that he would burst into tears, but he did the exact opposite. He let out a loud laugh as he watched them, and he was giggling in the stroller as he watched the monkeys in amazement, nothing but happiness in his eyes.

I asked Bobby to pull out the camera, and he dug it out of the bag before handing it to me. I turned it on and mouthed, "Monkeys," before showing Lucas staring in at them and showing Ness, giggling hysterically even though they weren't doing anything that funny necessarily.

"Ok, we can come back to the monkeys if we miss them, boys. Let's go on to the next exhibit," I said and turned the camera around to me as I put my hand out for Lucas again.

I knew you could see Bobby in the background as I talked to the camera, and I went on about what had happened that I hadn't vlogged, or explaining some vlogging I'd done earlier without talking about.

Then, as we walked on and I answered a few of Lucas's questions, I turned to Bobby and said, "What animal are you most excited to see?"

"Personally, I'm a big penguin fan," he answered as I put the camera on him.

"Good answer, good answer," I said. "But you have to wait until we get to the Arctic and Antarctic area."

"Sadly, I know," he said. I then put the camera on what was in front of us, recording what I could see and hear.

Not long after, we made it to the elephants. At first Lucas was pretty freaked out by them. I'm guessing he was afraid because of how big they were. But, he eventually got over it and started to look up in awe at them just as he had with the monkeys.

Ness didn't like them, and I'm sure that was because of their size. He seemed pretty freaked out, and he eventually started fussing a little.

"Okay, we better move on," Bobby said, and I was thankful he said it this time instead of me.

I knew moms had reputations of not only being overprotective a lot, but also of being the less fun parent, the one that enforced everything more. Not only did I not want to seem like "that" mom to my frands and the media, but I mostly didn't want to be "that" mom to either of the boys.

We continued walking, going by the big cat area. Lucas's favorite was the lions, not only out of the big cats, but out of any of the animals we'd seen. He wanted to stay there bad enough that he almost had a meltdown, but Bobby and I promised that we'd come back. In fact, he had video proof of us saying we would.

Then we came to the giraffes. I always loved the giraffes. They were so interesting to me, and I loved watching them. But I didn't realize that I'd passed that giraffe-loving gene onto Ness. At the giraffes, he didn't make a noise like he did at other exhibits. He laughed at the monkeys, he fussed at the elephants, he babbled at all of the big cats, but at the giraffes he seemed to look up in awe like Lucas did at every exhibit.
