Two months passed by both as fast as possible, but also extremely slowly.

I wasn't used to seeing newborns only for an hour to two a day. It was normally an all day thing, but having a premature baby was different.

On the bright side of things, we knew what day she was coming home, so we knew when to tell people to visit. Sarah and Lauren were arriving next week, just one week after Bobby's parents and sisters. This week would be taken up by my parents, Bobby's parents, Mark, and Melissa and Maria. Next week would be Sarah and Lauren's week for the most part. My mom would probably be around more often than anyone else, and a few other friends might still be coming next week as well.

The main deal was that my baby was finally coming home. The boys had seen her four times in all. Ness didn't really know what to think of her. He just really liked trying to say, "Zelda."

Lucas, on the other hand, was practically her biggest fan (which was hard to believe because not only did she have me and Bobby, but everyone on Earth practically had a breakdown at each of the two photos I'd posted of her). He was begging to come with me to visit her every day, but it was really a hassle to bring him in. If I brought him in, Ness would want to come, which meant this turned into a family visit. This meant that there was about an 87% chance of a meltdown at a public hospital where there were babies. It was practically signing up for disaster.

Today, however, the boys were at my parents' house again because Bobby and I were going together to the hospital to get Zelda. We hadn't gone together in two weeks, and today was the big day.

First we had to get through her shots; always an awful time for me. Next we had the usual height and weight (and everything else) taken. Then we had the basic taking-home-a-baby stuff: Do you know how to swaddle your baby; this is the baby formula we recommend; et cetera; et cetera. And, finally, eventually we'd get to take her home.

Before I knew it, I was putting Zelda in her carseat (for the first time!). She was sound asleep now, and I was just relieved she'd stopped crying not long after the shots.

"Bobby, we're taking her home," I said excitedly as he started the engine.

"We are," he said, grabbing my hand.

After a while in silence, I said, "Who are we putting in the middle?"

Because we had three carseats now, we had to put them all next to each other. I wanted Zelda on the side so that she could easily be taken in and out of her seat, but I didn't know which of the boys to move to the middle.

He shrugged. "I was thinking Ness because Lucas's seat is bigger than his, so it might be easier to put the smaller one in the middle."

I nodded. "How do you think we're gonna be able to handle this?" I whispered.

He was completely calm, and I wondered if he was freaking out at all on the inside. "We just will. If we need help in the beginning, we'll get help. If it's a little chaotic at first, it'll be a little chaotic until we get the hang of it."

I sighed. "It's a good thing I have you here. It's good to have one calm person in the family."

He squeezed my hand, and we soon arrived at my parents' house.

It was difficult for me to not be holding Zelda if no one else was, but I knew she needed to sleep.

Even though she was a newborn, so her day consisted mostly of sleeping, with pooping and eating somewhere in between her hours of sleep, I could already feel things getting chaotic in our house. It wasn't awful by any means, but it was enough to keep me on my toes. I was sure I didn't want to be left alone with the three kids for a while.
