I decided to go to the beach instead of going home I didn't want to hear my dad's mouth.

I guess I fell asleep while I was lying down on the sand. When I picked up my phone I had miss calls from my dad, my friends and Nicholas.

I rushed home.

"What is going on Blair, your teacher is in our living room and she told me she's worried about you. " My dad said to me when I walked in.

"I was at the beach thinking. Why is she here tell her to leave nothing is wrong with me." I said getting irritated.

My dad grabbed me, "Listen here Blair I'm your dad you need to talk to me. You never let me in anymore! " my dad was in tears now, I felt so bad.

I walked over to him and gave him a hug "Dad I love you the problems I'm dealing with only mom would understand. I miss her dad." I slid down the wall to the floor and cried.

I saw Ms Tori walk in she kneeled beside me. "I lost my mom when I was 8, so I know how you feel, but I didn't have a dad I was thrown in foster homes. I was raped at 10 by my Foster dad. What I'm trying to say Blair is talk to your dad. Life may seem bad but it could be worse, and if I pulled through I know you can too. Your a smart beautiful girl. "

We all stood up and wiped our tears.

"Blair I took off work, I was thinking we could cook dinner together like you and your mom use too. I miss her too."Dad said pulling out pots and food.

Ms.Tori was about to leave but my dad stopped her "No don't leave Tori, I want you to stay and have dinner with us. "

She smiled at my dad, washed her hands and helped us cook.

We were sitting down eating and having a good time. And the phone rang. Dad went to answer it.

He came back smiling with tears forming in his eye's.

"What's wrong dad, who was that. " I asked

"That was your grams, they said they've been trying to reach us. But our phone was off. Well anyways they had life insurance on your mom and they got a $4million check they are coming down here to give it to you this weekend for your birthday. " my dad said.

I was so happy "Dad this is awesome you don't have to work. You can go travel the world like you and mom planned. " I said beaming excitedly.

Ms. Tori and I washed dishes.

"Can you join us this weekend? " I asked her.

"Well I don't know is it okay with you Mike? " she asked my dad.

"Of course Tori I'd love to have you join us."

I went to my room and laid down. I can't believe my life may actually be getting better.
