I GOT TO THE PARK and found Annabeth already there, with a little boy attached to her hip. He, too, was fair haired like her and so naturally I thought he was her little brother. Boy was I wrong.

"Hey," I smiled and looked at the little boy. "Who's this?"

"This is my son," she informed, smiling

"This is my son," she informed, smiling. "His name is Porter." :

Did I just hear her right? She said it was her son.

"I'm sorry, what?"

"My son," she repeated.

"Your son?" I said surprised. She looked no older than me. And oh my stars! What possessed her to name her child Porter!

"Yes," she nodded. "Porter say hi."

The little boy looked up at me and smiled. He had the same smile as her. He was her child.
I returned the gesture and smiled at him.

"He doesn't really talk much," she explained and added. "but I'm sure he'll learn soon."

I was still in disbelief. She had a child and she was only a child herself. It was super weird.

"He's a adorable," I commented genuinely. He was adorable, with his fair hair and bright crystal eyes.

"Well I'd hope so, considering who is his father is," she said shared proudly.

Oh my god! Was Brain the father? Was she involved with him?  I had to know.

"Who's the father?" I dared to ask.

She looked me over before deciding to answer,"Malcolm."

My eyes widened in surprise. Did I just hear her say Malcolm was the father of her baby? He was like twenty years older than her, if not more. I couldn't bring myself to believe that Malcolm had taken a child as his 'mate' or even his wife. Things were just getting weirder and weirder.

"Did I hear you right? You said Alpha Malcolm is Porter's dad?" I wanted her to verify.

"Correct," she nodded.
