TWO HOURS and i still couldn't find anything to match my dress. It hung down all loosely and frumpy. I hated it.

The party was a casual and in his backyard with a few friends from school. There was no theme so I didn't bother with trying to dress fancy.

Although right now, i looked untamed and not put together. My hair was still in a towel and my face was still plain. I hadn't done anything else because of the problem with my dress. Sometimes being a girl was hard. I decided to look in my luggage for something, anything that would work with the dress, to add layers or some definition to its flat appearance.

There in the pockets of my luggage, I found a little rusted red waist belt. I looked at the dress.

"I guess it kind of matches," I mumbled, while putting it around my waist. I looked at myself in the mirror. It didn't look bad. "Well, this is as good as it's going to get."

I quickly unraveled my hair from the towel and shook my hair out. It was still a little damp so i blow dried it. After brushing it out, I decided to give myself soft curls. My face was next to pretty up. Not that I looked bad without makeup, but because I wanted to look good in case people were taking pictures tonight. The last thing I wanted was to be caught on camera with a huge pimple on my face somewhere or uneven skin tone. I dabbed on some foundation to even out my reflection and then I used loose powder to set it in. Next I put on some mascara and then fixed my eyebrows. Lastly, I looked at my two red lipsticks to decide what shade of red I wanted. It was between Cherry Bomb and Lady Danger. Cherry bomb had a hint of pink in it, while Lady Danger was just bright red. I decided to go with Cherry bomb and painted my lips.

And I was done

And I was done.

I grabbed my matching pocket purse and phone and went downstairs.

My dad was sitting on the couch watching TV while he wanted for me to be done.

"I'm ready!" I announced.
